Nice Joe. Worth every bit you sold it for. A lot of work goes into cleaning and repairing one of these, I know because I've been working on my Big Shot play field for a week after work and man it is a lot of work. I put the new bumpers on, new lights in and have the field all cleaned up and shinning NICE. Now on to the EM fixes, because after I cleaned it and put it back together it won't do two players anymore and it's skipping ball two and goes on to ball three. It's probably a miss-aligned or dirty contact somewhere, I'll track it down after watching you repair your's and the tips I've learned from watching you read and apply those schematics. Mine came with the schematic and even an extra schematic on coin slots for all over the world; Japan, Germany, Italy etc. Thanks for another great video Joe. Best Wishes n Blessings. Keith Noneya

I played the crap out of Comet at a pizza joint. Got all the high scores on it. Great work on the pin! :D Comet was the #1 pin of 1985.

Great job on the machine. Except the music playing during the final assembly video portion sounded like something straight out of a 70's porn movie. :)

Unfortunately, nobody makes that ramp yet. There is a gentleman on www.Pinside.com who is working on the mold, htough, so perhaps in a year they will be available.

Yeah, I thought that seemed wrong, I checked on the other playfield afterwards and noticed the difference. Vibration would prob. loosen them up after awhile...

Sorry to bring up an old video here, but after the repairs were complete that left hand side’s lights stopped working, was that ultimately fixed?

Yes, there was a bad connection on a wire on the main pcb.

How did you get your insert bulbs to not flicker? I’ve tried non-ghost bulbs and both those and incandescents have a fast flicker when lit.

This one's just the original board with the original incandescents, they don't flicker. Yours may have had something done to the main board's transistors that drive the lamps.

Isn't there a long streaking sound at ball launch? Is the trough switch maybe out of adjustment? Looks great though!

I"ll have to check it, the orange lights went out too if you notice in the video!

Good catch, I checked it out today and the diode was bent together on the trough switch! The orange lights ended up being a bad pin on one of the connectors, all good now :)
