Team Gushue is making a second appearance at the Olympics, competing in Beijing 2022. Only difference is the first 2 players are making their Olympic debut. Best of luck to them.

They won bronze, with Brad Gushue and Mark Nichols setting a Winter Olympics record for the longest wait between medals - 16 years. Who knows, they could come full circle in 2026 when the Games are hosted in Italy again

I didn't mind Finland losing, but the way they did it, giving away a SIX points in one end of an olympic final was not something I wanted to see. It was like at the critical moment the finns just crapped their pants... Same thing happened with the hockey team, best team of the tournament and then when it matters most, well it's all over youtube. Before the hockey/curling finals I felt great being a finn, but after the way we lost in both, not so much. Here's hoping I will one day see a finn winning a GOLD medal at the olympics, winter or summer.

Even though Finland is the most successful Olympic country per capita in history, the last few decades has not been that great. After Salt Lake City 2002, Finland only has two Olympic gold medals (summer -08 and winter -14) so they are a rare treat.

Since Team Gushue's victory in Torino, Newfoundland and Labrador has kicked butt at an international level, including Katarina Roxon (Paralympic Swimming) at the 2016 and 2020 Paralympics, Kaetlyn Osmond (Figure Skating) at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics, Liam Hickey (Sledge Hockey) at the Paralympics, Maria Htee (Powerlifting) at the 2019 IPF Classic World Championships, and of course, Jackie Barrett (Powerlifting, originally from Nova Scotia) at the 2011 and 2015 Special Olympics World Summer Games (Jackie also competed for Canada at the 1999 and 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games when he was living in his home province of Nova Scotia) and recently inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame.
