I've always appreciated Finn, despite some of the choices he made i really believe that he deserved better than what he got.

Had the writers thought more about his character, Finn could have easily become one of the most intricate and recognizable Mikaelson siblings, and although that will never happen, I'm glad the fandom does recognize this potential. This video shows perfectly his relationship with his family and most of his crucial scenes, and although I'm missing more scenes with Sage, generally I think you did a good job.

Finn was actually the only Mikaelson, who wasn‘t a psychotic mass murderer. Elena should have teamed up with him, not kill him.

Finn, to this day, remains one of the most unfairly hated characters of the shows universe (mainly by Kol fangirls though). After having been treated like shit, pretty much all of us would have reacted like Finn. I really hope he has found peace at last, even though I would have liked to see more of him. He had so much potential! The growth into being happy and close with his family, the dynamic he could have had with his brothers, and the type of uncle he could have been to Hope... Also, if we're being honest we do have the admit how hot Finn was. Like sure, none of the siblings are awful looking but he was the best looking male sibling. His facial structure, those bright hazel eyes. If he'd stuck around, there could have been so many interesting ships too.

I always loved Finn he stole every scene he was in regardless of what actor portrayed him you honestly saw each aspect of the family in him Klaus rage Elijahs sense of nobility And Kols sense of injustice With Rebekahs attitude But I love how he was devote to Freya his sister no matter what he always loved her he believed she was the one good thing about his family and his death I thought was so tragic because that was right when they started to understand him and when he started to realize the bond between them that he never chose to see before my favorite scene is the one with him and Elijah in the car when he tells Elijah the difference between being daggered for a few decades compared to a few centuries....... That total and utter feeling of loneliness but the worst part wasn’t even that. It was that it was his own family that did it to him....... His death is one of the saddest scenes in the originals for me and his funeral scene still brings me to tears especially the way they each send him off Klaus simply saying “I swear to you......you will be avenged...” Even Klaus saw that his brother who he may not have totally understood but still loved was now gone......and so he showed his love the only way he could By swearing to avenge him..... 😭😭😭 And I loved the way they killed Lucien you could see that Klaus was killing him for Camille but all of them were ending Lucien for Finn...........😭😭😭😭😭 Be at peace Finn you to me are gone but never forgotten...........

Finn and how they treated him was a prime example of how low down that “family” could be. The reasons for what they kept him daggered, and essentially forgot about him, were petty. They simply found him *boring* With “family” like that, who needs enemies?

Honestly, probably the most underrated of The Originals. He definitely could have done with more development, but I did like what we got. Great tribute!

Klaus was cruellest to Finn. The damage he did to his older brother. The fact that he didn’t even understand why Finn hated him (or all of them for abandoning him) still escapes me. I love this tribute to his character. Beautifully done.

Honestly i lowkey feel bad for him. Like klaus kept him daggerd for more than 900 years and literally not a month after he was killed. Also none of them cared about him like Elijah and Rebekah would go against klaus if he hurt one of them and sometimes kol, but Finn they literally left him like that because he was boring I swear it’s so sad . Maybe if his siblings cared about him like they cared about each other things would have probably been different, and he wouldn’t have to be desperate for Esther too love him.

Lets all agree Finn could've been a good character if the writers showed his side of the story more. He was forced to be what he defined as evil and he was a good man trying to fight the evil before it consumed him. Once he found love she was murdered along with him, and their whole sire line. His "family" didn't care. His whole life was focused on killing his siblings because thats what he believed was evil. His family murdered thousands/hundred thousands over the years and he wanted to protect the humans. He didn't consider them family because he was outcasted by them; they treated him like a obstacle. "I was made that way because of the box" Like that just shows his whole character. His "family" put him in a box for 90% of his life.. 900 YEARS. Lets be honest, Finn was only seen as a "villian" because he didn't agree with his family.

I don't know why the writers treated Finn as the sacrificial lamb because he could have been one of the best allies to the Mikaelson family and he had high morals that exceed that of Elijah's,he was more in control of his bloodlust than all of his siblings

Lovely work! It's so difficult to make videos for Finn, there's so little to work with, but you are an artist. I didn't think much of Finn in TVD (whatever little I saw of it, only for my Mikaelson babies), but I really found him more interesting in TO. TO season 3 could've taken a different turn after Kol and Finn were resurrected. For one, Klaus should've apologised properly for daggering them for centuries, which contributed to both of them being against the family. And secondly, Elijah could've take a much deserved vacation from handling Klaus, and left that to his brothers, for once. They really should've worked more on Finn and Kol in TO. I know that was not possible in TVD, as it was about Salvatores, but instead of devoting season 4 and 5 to the annoying Hollow and Nazi crap, they could've focused more on the Mikaelson family dynamics, with flashbacks and all.

Despite every awful thing that they did and said to him, in the end Finn died for Elijah, he could have easily let Lucien kill Elijah, but instead he saved his brother, he knew that he stood no chance against Lucien, but he still attacked him to defend his brother, even when Elijah insulted and mocked him just an hour before hand. In the end, Finn loved his family, despite every single thing that they did to him, he would die for them (without Esther in his ear). Notice how in TVD, he had no intent to kill his siblings, in fact, he was ready to leave with them and leave Klaus behind until Esther woke up, it was Esther using him and manipulating him from the start, using his emotions and love for her against him. All he wanted was to be loved by his family, and when he was denied that and was locked in that box for 900 years of course he lashed out, with a little encouragement from Esther.

Finn wasn't in the wrong for wanting to kill his family, except Hope. His family were monsters who killed innocent people just because they pissed them off or were against them. If anything it was justifiable to want to kill them so vampires would stop existing and hurting innocent people.

Finn for me is always so, how to put it right for what I mean.. Like a double edged sword. I see his point, I see his hurt, I don't understand why they allowed him, especially Elijah (yes, he's my fav but even he has flaws) who allowed Klaus more or less and never stood up against it. 900 years in a box with a dagger in your heart. The love of your life out there, waiting for you to someday come back and when you are finally released, you both die. Was Finn on Mikael's side and then also Ester's side of realizing that this "gift" was a curse and could see the monsters that they were becoming? Yes, he did. Was he wrong? No of course not. None of their hands are clean of any blood. I have a love/hate with Klaus due to the "we do what Klaus says because he might dagger us, throw a tantrum and kill someone" Ok, so when doesn't he do any of that? Finn saw through it. Kol had the most common sense of "Hey let's not do such n such it's a bad idea" and acted out because of being ignored all the time and pushed aside. Marcel got treated better than Finn and Kol. It's so sad. They should have let Finn out earlier, should have taken understanding in things he said or felt so they wouldn't become the very version of monsters they didn't want to be.
