Does Fiona still have the masters of the Jon Brion version of Extraordinary Machine? It's so incredible, I would die if she ever released it officially 💕

it came included on the CD I purchased. So pretty sure that happened a long time ago!

All the official CDs have the Mike Elizondo mixes of Extraordinary Machine. The early leaked version was (mostly) produced by Jon Brion so I guess he would still have those original master tapes. The complicating factor for a re-release is that I can't see Sony ever giving the green light for a third mix of the same album and 2 of the Jon Brion tracks are on the official Sony version, so I'm very doubtful they will ever authorise a release of the same tracks on a non-Sony release.

@@FionaAppleRocksShe made the final version and I assume she's happy with it so why bother retreading old territory right? And it's GREAT don't get me wrong l, but I do prefer the originals. I had them torrented back in the day and I just love them so much. The style is different obviously but there's also something intangible about them, more raw maybe? Anyway, thanks for the response and for running this page! Fiona's music has shaped my life in more ways than I could ever count ❤️
