Week 12 of SMFR Fire Academy is Rapid Intervention Team (RIT) week. The recruits visit an acquired structure in the district to deploy RIT, do search & rescue and mayday operations. They also spend time on the drill ground doing drags and carries for victims and downed firefighters, buddy breathing in the maze along with bailout training using kits and ladders.

Alex Outdoors If it makes you feel any better I'm 23 and I'm ready to drop out of school to be a Fire Fighter, I'm not smart at all but I'm built like an NFL player.. it took me a while to realize that just because I'm not smart but that doesn't mean I can't use my body to become something great
