VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES, June 17 (KNN) - Firefighters extinguished the flames inside a single-family home in Van Nuys early Monday morning.
The Los Angeles Fire Department received a call of a structure fire around 1:43 a.m. in the 6700 block of Blucher Avenue. Upon arrival, fire crews found a home with black smoke and flames coming from the roof and rear of the home.
A well coordinated fire attack by 32 firefighters at the scene using vertical (rooftop) ventilation resulted in the flames being extinguished in 24 minutes, reported the LAFD.
