Spies...the infamous backstabbers known to cause more headaches than most of the mercenaries, especially to Medics and Engineers. Have a singular competent Spy on your team and a bunch of idiots amongst the enemies and chances are, he'll carry you through the round. If it is other way round, good luck.
However, with a similarly competent Pyro who see rainbows everywhere, even the most competent Spies will have their work cut out for them...
A short film I made for the Third Annual Saxxy Awards. Everything I use is from Valve because I personally find it time consuming and troublesome to get permission to use work that I did not make originally. I tried my best to make do and I daresay, this is my most ambitious 3D animation so far, including non-SFM and Maya works.
I hope you all at least enjoy watching this. I will work on Cult of Personality Chapter 5 soon so please be patient.

This did capture the dynamic of the Spy and Pyro in actual games. One moment you're killing everybody, and the next you're being knocked out by the Pyro. Nice work, it's a mix of action and comedy that works nicely in the end by being similar to the experiences ingame.

We just want to spread rainbows (fiery doom), help our team (pybro), and make friends with the enemy spies (burn them alive). The only ones we have trouble with are snipers. They keeps us from hugging them (getting in close with our flamethrowers and making them extra crispy).

Many f2ps(_noobs and kids_) main pyro because they think they are good at it. for example, you just played tf2 and you first played pyro, when you come out to the battlements you start M+1-ing people, killing a bunch of people and thinking that you are good at pyro. No offense but pyro is the easiest class, maybe same with heavy but pyro is more easy to use. again No offense maining pyro is only for people who doesn't want to aim. plus kids reason of liking pyro he wears a mask. *childish*

I like Pyro because we have similar personalities. Put me in this kind of situation in the video and I'd act like Pyro. I'm childish, I find the most sadistic things fun, I like anything involving fire, and I'm just overall a dangerous goofball. True his mask and outfit are cool, but I don't care if he's easy to play as just because you can kill things he's just an awesome character all together. He's my favorite character between Sniper and Spy

This will never not be funny. Beautifully animated, too, and full of nods to the TF2 canon. I can't understand how this wasn't even among the nominees for Best Comedy. Maybe due to the random selection way videos were presented to viewers for rating, this video just fell through the cracks.

The only thing that could be improved, IMO, was the pacing in the middle part. There are some sequences in the middle part that don't seem to hang together all that well. In addition to the Spy vs Engineer + Pyro leitmotif, there are also the bits with the Sniper (which admittedly are funny) and with the Demoman (which could be cut, although the Demoman headshot kill leads into the sequence of the Spy turning around and finding himself face to face with Pyro.

TF2CrunchyFrog The bits that specifically felt a bit disjointed after the brilliant start: a) Starting at 00:58 min: The short Sudden Death sequence with RED Sniper could be cut, serves no real point. b) The "funny faces" sequence around 02:00 min, when Spy is standing on the point is rather WTF? c) At 02:05 min the plot suddenly jump-cuts away to the RED Demoman, before the BLU spy enters the picture again. If this could be improved... After that, the narrative becomes fluent again, with the montage of Spy being harrassed by the Pyro.

LoneWolfHBS I do think Fire Hazard has "originality, creativity and decency of the animation". "Originality" does not always have to mean "wildly new, never done before" otherwise 90% of world literature would not exist. Like "Story of a Sentry" it takes a common and well-known TF2 situation (in this case Spy vs Engineer) and fleshes it out. The various jokes are fun, and honestly I think the animations are pretty good. Felt pretty fluid to me, and the facial expressions are hilarious. (The BLU Heavy's "oh crap" face when he realizes he accidentally swung his still firing minigun in the wrong direction as he turned to look at the burning Spy wandering past the combo. Pfft, that cracks me up.)

Alright, the wrangler joke took me a while to understand (I'm sluggish, sorry) But that spycrab was excellent! The conversation between the Spy and Medic in the background is hilarious. And I know the look on Spy's face when he turns into Pyro. I see that look way too often on the ones I want to cuddle and shower with rainbows. And at 4:22 Engie looks so darn proud of his Pyro.

For those that think pyros are OP, try keeping a distance from them. Really that's all it takes. Pyros are only a problem if you don't keep an eye out for them or charge into them for some reason.

By far, this one is my most favorite TF2 vídeo until now. I simply LOVED your BLU Spy ("AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!", I laughed really hard on this) and RED Pyro. Interestanting how Pyro, in special the RED one, is described on most vídeos as a very innocent and childlike person. I personally like this way, it's such a contrast to all others, and even so, he manages the job just fine. More than fine, on this case. Thank you very much for all my laughs on this video. Believe me, there were many. PS: Sorry for any bad English, it's not my native language. I can understand it perfectlly, but when it's time to write it down...

Poor Blue Spy. ^^; The antics were hilarious though. I think one of my favorite scenes is where the Spy clears his throat before resuming his screaming. Btw, after the Soldier got run over by the Spy, did the Sniper and Soldier's voices suddenly sound like they inhaled helium? It was hard to tell the voice pitch over the screaming. Wonder why their voices changed if they did. Very funny video. Thanks for sharing this with us. ^_^

XD (Medic:) “Ze healing leaves little time for ze hurting!” (Spy:) “You *suck.* They should call you whiners 'Doctor NOOOOOOOOOO’!” [Syringe fired and an impact.] (Medic:) “Did zat sting? Saw- *RRY.* ” (Spy:) “Well played….” [Loud gunshot and an 'uuf!'] “Medic, medic, meeedic! Ahahahahah!” (Medic:) “I am going to saw zrough your bones!” (Spy:) “Oh, please. Just stay *down!* ”

As always, your videos (SFMs in particular) are entertaining and wonderful; this right up there with the CopP oWn Series is now one of my favorites. :3 This was a marvelous work, I could barely see any mistakes at all, and any there were were few and far between! Wonderful cannon use and remarkable on the use of the in game dialogue to keep with this. Great job, keep up the wonderful shorts/movies/videos!
