I grew up in a suburb of St. Louis on the Illinois side of the river and my gra dlarents used to buy season tickets to Silver Dollar City every year when I was a kid and they'd take me down there 4 or 5 times during the summer. I was born in 1980 so I'm talking mid 80's to the early 90's. I LOVED this place. I was soooo lucky to have gotten to go there with them as much as I did. This ride and the Flooded Mine were my two faves. Haven't been in years but I'd love to go again. Nostalgia is so great. To bad Branson isn't like it was back them anymore. Anyone remember a place called Old Holler???

So true, and rides like this and Thunderation are too, sad they’re taking it down, but also happy about the rumored RMC replacement.

There’s suggestions that they are rebuilding it in a different area of the park and I’m sure the park understands it would be a mistake to simply remove it

@@YouOnlyIiveTwice I mean, I laugh when I get an adrenaline rush, not to say this ride is extremely fast, but enough to get your heart pumping. Also there are some silly scenes on the ride, and I remember laughing at one too.

They are building another one over in Fireman's Landing it's just be relocated

Legend has it that they are building a brand new one in fireman’s landing.

Luke I don’t think so, however the rumor is that they are building a brand new Fire in the Hole over in Fireman’s Landing. That may end up being the new attraction after Mystic River Falls. I definitely think a newer version would be really cool, but hopefully they keep the old one up or make it a different themed dark ride.

No. It doesn't smell bad at all. It actually smells refreshing. It mostly smells like water and stuff. I actually yelled a bunch during this ride because I thought it was too quiet. I rode it 8 times in a row before haha.

One person died on the ride and that was from 1980! You may be 1 in Infinity that says they don’t like the ride. In statistics they would just delete you.

I read somewhere that the ride was shortened back in the 80s in order to achieve a shorter ride time and accommodate more passengers, however I don't think any major changes have been made since then.

Blazing Fury at Dollywood is Fire in the Hole. Only ride that remains at Dollywood from when it was silver dollar city before dolly bought the land.

First, that’s because it’s against their rules to have a camera out during the ride. Second, how do you know for sure that I had it in my front pocket? I will answer you, you don’t. Third, how many other videos of this ride are circulating? Fourth, have you ever been on a dark ride before? Probably not, because you would know that a camera in the dark is not going to make the best video. Fifth, go ride this ride on the front seat with your camera on, post it so I can say that your video was 100% the exact same as mine. Do it, I dare you. But I bet you won’t.
