"Fire of Anatolia", a dance group composed by 120 dancers whose director is the kurd Mustafa Erdogan (from Colemerg - Hakkari).
The video shows all the elements that identify the kurdish classic culture and identity, a people before known as the "Adorers of the fire and the Sun", a people more than 3.000 years old.
The group holds two Guinness records, one for fastest dance performance with 241 steps per minute and another for largest audience, 400 000 people in Ereğli, in the Black Sea Region of Turkey.
Elements in this particular show are inspired in The Zoroastrians and Yezidi Kurds, and folkdances from Kurdistan, while the group also performs other shows inspired in the Shaman Turks of Central Asia, different regions of Turkey and Alevi Moslem dances (in this case, search on KZfaq).
Enjoy this show, every part, every step, every note, is part of the history of the kurdish people.
Simply astounding.

What you Turks dont seem to get is that: just because I recite the bible in Latin, or I as a Kurd dance a Ugandan dance, it does NOT make them Kurdish. If all people were to follow your principles and ideas, then Harry Potter would be German because a German once read it a loud, and Romeo and Julie as a text would become Italian because it was performed in a play in Rome in 2012. Logical? No? Thought so. These are Kurdish dances NOT Turkish.

It's really pathetic how Kurdish refugees from Iraq and Iran who grew up in Denmark or Germany think that a dance performance by the massively popular Turkish "Fire of Anatolia" group has anything to do with Kurdishness or Kurdish nationalism

no no let me tell you what is pathetic here you mongolian turk kurdish people lived in anatolia thousands of years before even turkey it self been made okay you have no right to talk about kurds because till this day your turkey stealing music and culture from us kurds you need to read some history about kurds your entire history is maybe maybe 1000 year but lol kurdish people have some historical places goes back to 8000 years bc so i think its time to shut the fuck up and stop telling lies about kurdish people mongolian seed :)

K- Boy dude what are you even on about? "fire of anatolia" is a Turkish group, period. I'm sorry they're not kurdish, but too fucking bad; grow the fuck up because when you claim other cultures' products as your own, nobody gives a shit...and 12000 years ago there were no kurds/Turks/Arabs, etc, to say "oh, we were here 12K years ago" is the most ignorant and anachronistic horseshit ever. Why do you think you have "more than one language"? Because you're not even a cohesive, real nation. You're artificial. France has French, Italy has Italian, Turkey has Turkish and Iran has Persian...you people have a dozen different tongues so that a "kurd" from Turkey can't even understand a "kurd" from Iran...12,000 year old nation that nobody ever even spoke about or identified with less than 100 years ago, deluded much?

***** Exactly, I don't go and talk about kurds or armenians or whatever simply because I don't care. But why do you have kurds and armenians on every Turkish video claiming everything Turkish as their own? Insecurity, and a subconscious awareness that THEY really have no culture themselves, and so have to make a name for themselves by claiming popular Turkish cultural items (food, music, monuments, etc) as theirs..
