Yes you can tell it to open up for example Netflix on the app and it will open it on your fire TV. It will also do it with any Echo speakers you have

The fire stick lite has inferior audio processing so I’d expect to see a good upgrade in audio quality from the lite to any other Firestick

The " smart " you get from the tv gets outdated pretty fast so you can throw it out or get a mediaplayer like mi stick/fire stick to save your tv or get a new one.

Out tv though has 4K, don’t have bluetooth and 5ghz wifi. It is a 2018 model. Bluetooth is big deal to connect a plethora of speakers in the market.
