A little surprise. I have yet another Simplex 4005 that's in place of my previous one. I have reasons for the swap. You'll see. Also finally doing some tests with Simplex mechanical horns.

Who knew they made the original 4005 units with the Star mini buzzers? That sucker is rare. Congrats on acquiring it. I wish I had one with the buzz, but my 4602-9102 annunciator has the buzzer, so that's good enough.

This brings back memories for me, especially with the alarms going off on code 3. My elementary school had Simplex 4903 mechanical horn strobes and they were being coded to code 3. We also had one of those T Bar cages in our gym as well. The only difference is, we actually single action Simplex T bars.

That smoke detector was original on my elementary schools 4002 system

I have those alarms at the school I’m about to go to this year, about to get a tour of the school tomorrow. They have no strobe sadly.
