In my country Portugal, such a fire was controlled in 1 hour. 4x4 vehicles are driven almost to the side by the fire, I see good routes for position the trucks . I only see trucks for urban fires. We Portuguese Firefighters speaking in the slang «we take the bull by the horns». I have been a firefighter for 30 years to see this it seems incredible the combat.

You haven't lived until you've heard a couple hundred propane tanks cook off. These tanks were 150 to 250 gallon. I did. On Nov. 8th, 2018. LedHed Pb 207.20 🎶 🎸 🎹

What a tragedy, its bad enough your homeless and you have to live this way , then your homeless encampment burns down. Now your open to the elements and now your getting sun burned.

California fires are always very tragic but when you get to see how things were before the fire consumes all the houses you see that the owners don't even try to keep the vegetation from getting too close to the house. Until such time California starts enforcing the laws that say cut your bushes and weeds 200 feet back from the house, you're going to see more fires.

If you see it from the practical way of seeing things, this is a good way to separate metallic from non-metallic. Then all metallic can be easily collected for recycling !

How do homeless people get displaced? 36:00 seems like if they’re being displaced they had a home and by that logic they would not be homeless.

Please note: The City of Los Angeles has extremely strict zoning and building and safety codes...that is for the taxpayers.

Homeless camps could be more organized if sanctioned areas are provided and tents are lined up in the open, clean like an Army base tent camp.

Who is responsible to clean all the trash and garbage in these homeless camps? The homeless will not clean it up so that just adds to California's problems.

Then why don't you 2 come on over & help instead of criticizing something you have only seen a video of? We have 625 fires burning through out California. Our firefighters, hotshots and prison firefighters are stretched thin. They are exhausted.

@@dsmom6898 The criticism is constructive. I know that in the USA there are big forest fires, but here in Portugal there are also every year. We have a lot of mountains and high temperatures throughout the country, always 35 degrees upwards. But the way we fight fires is totally different. I ask you to do a KZfaq search for fires in Portugal and you can see that Portuguese firefighters have balls, courage, and always life in danger. See images on KZfaq that nothing like seeing reality. It is the riskiest profession in the world. Hugs

The folcloric potato digers we see throughout the video, equipped with pickaxes and showels, exercising (among other things) themselves for the next (wintertime) firefighting show, what else are they good for ??🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

if u refer to the firefighters they re jus digging fire lines basically removing fuel in a line so the fire doesnt spread past it but in this case didnt help that much ig
