Today is a sad day for Rock N Roll. It is with great sorrow we are letting the world know we have lost our brother: CJ Snare, the rock and roll warrior, lead vocalist, and a founding member of Firehouse. CJ snare passed unexpectedly at home Friday night, April 5, 2024. He was a young 64 years old. As you are all aware, CJ was expected to be back on stage with the band this summer after recovering from surgery. We are all in complete shock with CJ's untimely passing. CJ was was arguably one of the best vocal talents of a generation, touring the world with Firehouse non stop the past 34 years. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Snare family, Katherine Little, friends, and all our beloved fans all over the world. "Reach for the Sky” CJ! You will be forever missed by family, friends, fans and your band mates. You’re singing with the angels now.

30 yrs ago, I walked in to the local Pizza Hut to apply for a job. There was this cute little blonde waitress there, who got the application for me. Found out later that she told the other waitress, " what I could with that for 24 hrs." This album came out shortly after we got together, and this song became ours. 30yrs later and we're still together and she's still my love of a lifetime. Good times, bad times, hard times and easy times, we've been there for each other. There's no one else I could ever see myself with. Edit: This past December, on our 30th anniversary ( 33 yrs together) date, we renewed our vows. Surrounded by friends made over the years, and our kids and their significant others as bridesmaids and groomsmen. Here's to 30 more with a Love of a Lifetime.

My name is Shannon Rae and I am the girl in this video. The video for Love Of A Lifetime was the first music video that I got cast for and I remember shooting it like it was yesterday in that downtown LA high rise. All of the guys were nice but CJ was particularly nice. We were supposed to shoot this video at midnight but they were shooting the video for Don’t Treat Me Bad first so we didn’t start shooting until 3am. Like a true gentleman, CJ asked me if it was ok if they shot their parts first as they were so tired from shooting the whole day so of course I said yes. They probably would have anyway but I thought it was a very nice gesture. Rest In Peace, CJ. 💛

I was friends with CJ's parents. His mom told me of the days she travelled with the band. She talked of her three children telling me she had a teacher, a preacher and a screecher :) . CJ and I chatted on occasion. Great person and cared deeply for his parents.

I lost my wife of 26 years on July 22 of 2022 and this song gives me comfort. Some people live their whole lives and never experience what I had with her. I loved her more than life itself! Heartwrenching.My husband and I just got back from our little overnight anniversary celebration of 28 years.This song came on when we went on our first date 31 years ago.We knew we were eachothers love of a lifetime.I feel I will not live if he dies first.We are still happy and going strong it takes work but it's good work it's fun work.Thank you for your comment and saying some people never experience what we've had.My view is not many have the love we have and have had.

I listen to Love of a Lifetime every day! It is an awesome song and tribute to what true love is. His voice was so beautiful and strong. His passing is truly a great loss to the world of music and to all that loved and cherished him and his voice as much as we did. God bless and rest in peace.

This song was dedicated to me 28 years ago from The Love of My Lifetime. Unfortunately we had to go our separate ways due to my mother moving me away, so we both ended up with different lives for the past 28 years, but we always stayed in touch through the years! Last February 8th we reunited on the phone since I was in Kansas & him in Idaho. Both single for the first time and still COMPLETELY in love with each other, we were married on June 18th, 2019 on the beach😁!! It's still our #1 Song💗💗And He's Still My Love of My Lifetime💞💞💞! Update: 2 years later and things just get more beautiful everyday! Regardless of all the challenges we go through that's thrown in our paths we fall deeper in love EACH DAY and have had a beautiful 2 years of marriage so far!! God is definitely are driving force❤! Thanks to ALL of your encouragement and sharing your stories! I love to read them!! Hope ALL of you get to experience this kind of love in your lives one day if you haven't gotten to yet!! Same just as me budy but we can't be together as she got married with 3 childrens but I am happy to know that she still cares and still love me just the way I am from the first day we met. We met in 2005 but there family didn't like me so we eloped . But we got seperated forcefully by sending her to other states. I have been dreaming about her as I was helpless throughout the years for 13yrs, I saw her on FB and from that day we started texting, one day I told her to call me and gave her my number. But she told me that she won't call me but after a week she called me . I couldn't believe it and on a valentine day in 2018 she actually came to meet me, it was like going on a date for the first time. But the harsh reality is that we can't be together. I had to let her go .. but she contacts me on the phone sometimes .. I love you Kiran

Got to say this was a bit of a shock. For whatever reason today I had the song "All she Wrote" stuck in my head and started down the Firehouse wormhole. I will always be playing this band. Fortunate enough to see them play live in England. They blew the lead act away. Sorry for everyone's loss.

Besides my family & friends the thing I am most grateful for is growing up in the 80's. I wouldn't change a single thing and we all know they don't make music like this anymore. Wow. I absolutely loved Firehouse!!! I have a “house on fire” tattoo on my thumb. I am so glad i saw them in August 2023 at Mentor Rocks in Mentor Ohio. I also saw them at MGM Casino in Northfield Ohio. I loved CJ’s voice!! Will be listening to them forever! Condolences to his family, band members, and friends. 🙏🏻😢

31 years ago, my husband and I walked out of the church, right after we got married, to this song. ❤ 2 kids and 2 grandkids and another on the way… we’ve had so many great memories. Things are a little rocky for us right now but I think of the words to our song “we know that the road is long, we know that we will be together because our love is strong.” Thank you for this song!!!

This was supposed to be the first song that me and my wife danced to when we got married but we couldn't find the cd on the morning of our wedding... we ended up having to use Fast Enough For Your by Phish instead... it was the only cd in our car, lol. This was back in 1996.... this is still our song though!

I remember staying up until 10 every night because our local radio station(97.3 in Statesville NC) did late night love dedications where you could send a song and message to your love. This song and "when I look into your eyes" were definitely two that were played every night and they never got old. Even now in 2023 this song is still such a gem. So grateful I grew up with music like this & I'm passing it on to my boys now! Why can't they still make music like this?

My best friend told me everytime he heard this song it reminded him of me. We were soulmates and had made plans in Dec 2016 to be together for the first time in 30 years, but Feb 2, 2017 I lost my best friend, soulmate, and love of a lifetime. I was the last person he talked to that day. Twenty minutes after our conversation, I didn't know I would no longer have him. My heart had been ripped away from me. Doing life without him has been extremely difficult, but I try to smile everyday when I think about him and our conversations we had. I love and miss you, Ernie, everyday.
