What is it about the fire that attracts us so much? The sound, those lovely pops and crackles, or the movement of flames dancing, or is it the warmth of the colours, the oranges, yellow and reds? Bliss. Playing this on my iPad as small as it is, brings a feeling of hominess, of relaxation and a desire to cook.

Creo que nos retrotrae al tiempo de las cavernas 😊 Nos sentimos a salvo, protegidos dentro de la cueva. Fuera quedan los leones, los rayos, el viento huracanado... También me ocurre que mirar las llamas, sin más, sólo mirarlas, va alejando cualquier intento de pensar con coherencia, de encontrar respuestas.... This accidentally ended up at the bottom of a playlist of sleep hypnosis videos. It’s actually perfect. In the past, when I would wake up in the middle of the night, I would open a video of ocean sounds. Now, if I wake up, I hear this and drift back to sleep-after I get that drink of water. This also means video will get a view every single night.

I decided to leave the U.S. and am in another country. I've been feeling incredibly lonely and homesick. Truly sad. Very low. I fell asleep watching some other video and woke up with this on. It was calming and helped me back to sleep. Happy it exists.
