Ok now here we go Feanor burnt ships trapping a large number of Noldor under Fingolfin and thus condeming them to cross the Helcrax resulting in many deaths . Now Morogth was waiting and attacked Feanor who being rash fell inti a trap after fighting off Morogjrs forces. He led a small cangaurd to Angband and was killed there. It was then Fingolfin arrived with the rest of the forces. Maedros Feanor's eldest son being eiser than his Father handed the high kingship of the Noldor over to Fingolfin, who set up a watch on Morgoht which broigjt about a peace which lasted for 500 years. Maedros and the rest of Feanor's sons then found their own kingdoms (ok I missed do it Maedros being taken captive by Morgoth, and rescied by Fingon but thats in there to, and its why he renounced his kingship over the Noldor). It was Fingolfin sons who ruled without anything to really do with Feanor. Oh and Thingol ruled Doriath but Feanor's sons killed his son when they went after the Silmarils because they were homicidal idjits). So there we go the truish story but I suggest reading the book and not cherry picking like what's happened here.
