Hi Tanya, thise are some good tips that I use regularly. I also restart my router once a week (or more if necessary). I find that some apps might be part of the problem as well.

The app thats in your store that is a one click to stop all apps has helped me a lot but I will try some of the suggestions on how to stop buffering and thank you !

Really good professional presentation Tanya, well done. The one tip from you that did it for me was a while ago, on how to triple your broadband speed. Took my paltry 50MB/sec using the Amazon network adapter to over 200MB/sec using the USB3 adapter that you recommended. OK, so a VPN does slow it down a bit but still get blazing speeds. Thank you.

When I get a lot of buffering I change the channel on my router to one that's not as busy, this usually fixes the problem. The internet in my area isn't always that good at times. Thank You for the video Tanya

Thanks for the tips, some are very useful. Here in Eastern Canada I have tried different cable devices to connect to the router but as you mention the Amazon one throttles the speed. Another one I tried was a ‘made in China’ cable that was called, wait for it, Cable! That particular one slowed the speed to about 70MBS. I pay for 150 but at times get in excess of 350, with a VPN connection from some European servers it is reduced to around 40. This is more than adequate for our needs and by using RD it is quite amazing. However I’m quite sure our ISP detects the VPN and does some interfering with the speed, most noticeable when using certain, (side loaded) apps.

Love your channel. I have done all those steps multiple times and just wanted to add that it does help in a lot of cases but won't help if the service or app you are using has too many users at a given time. I use a firecube and have 9G of space and getting almost 400 mgbs it still buffers once in a while because the service can't handle the load.

After a show, or movie end’s instead of being able to return to my links, or program/movie page, I get a “still shot ad” and I have to hit the home button to start all over. Please advise. Interesting. Thx. As per your query, the pre installed apps annoys the daylights out of me. I don't want them. I will never use them. They use up valuable storage space which is woefully inadequate

Tanya , what do you know about video noise on prime videos? all my stream services show clear pictures, but certain videos on my prime subscription get like a video artifacts, like little dots i have tried searching, but only audio noise shows up in the search

I know there is no Ethernet direct port on a Firestick, you did cover the adapter for it, however is there a connection speed compromise compared if it had a direct connection?

There is also the problem of too many device streaming as well.

Great info as per usual Tanya, im using Proton VPN free version your recommendation and its been pretty good for a free vpn with Virgin volt 350 . Recently however I fear VM are now targeting the VPN providers at peak times for IPTV and slowing and then cutting the connection. My internet speed is consistently high and consistent outside of the app im using and not through the Proton VPN. Usually the streams run faultlessly up until the main event when the stream starts initially to buffer and stall and then when they freeze completely I check download speed and there's no internet connection. If I come out completely and back into app , restart stream and the whole process starts again until the stream freezes once again and connection is lost. I fear the ISP is blocking the VPN at peak times , could this be the case?

Hi. I've followed the tips. But still suffer buffering particularly when watching Apple TV. My Internet speed averages around 90mbps, I have 1.5gb free space on my firestick 4k. I've cleared the cache in all apps, but still get buffering. I have to press return to go back to main Apple TV menu and then enter back into the program for it to play again. It's very frustrating! Any ideas at all?

I have KZfaq TV and have been having problems with opening the APP. I pay a monthly fee and it is up to date. I have this on Two TVs but now one TV [KZfaq TV App] wants me to try a free trial or buy. OK, so last first...Real Debrid costs/ coffee? Is this hourly, daily, weekly, monthly because I doubt it's annually. As far as Amazon's non-removable aps...I hate the entire concept and they have it on all their devices. I realized this when I was researching tablets recently. I loved the wireless charging and was going to get the top-of-the-line model but when I saw the upcharge to remove some ads I got annoyed enough to not buy any more of their products unless absolutely necessary. I don't like their ability to disable my purchases remotely or the information collecting. I hate the cameras and voice recordings that they take. They claim it's to help recognize what I want for the Alexa option but I've read from numerous sources that if you disable the recording function in the menu that there's no change in the device's behavior or ability to recognize what's being said. Misleading statements like that cause me to lose faith in any of their claims. I'm currently researching firewall devices that can stop them and others from uploading any of my information without effecting my logins. It will probably need to be done at a code level in the firmware or BIOS but i'm going to keep trying to find an external solution that might be practical enough to market. Isolating my security system while still receiving notifications of people in proximity of my buildings is another but I'm pretty sure that the solution already exists for that within a certain brand or two. Great job with this video presentation. I have been waiting for an internet speed test recommendation. Most presenters mention it so quickly that even closed captions doesn't catch the name, lol.
