Great detail review as always, as an owner of both the Burn E 2 40ah(1+yrs) and this Klima 30ah (max) (7months)I couldn’t agree with you more on all the feedbacks and experience. I like to commute with scooters over my cars as it’s just as fast but more fun. And save so much gas it pays for itself especially if you live in California where it cost over $100 to fill up my tank even in Costco.

Thanks for watching this video as well Joseph, I'm glad you can confirm my findings in this video! I try to go over things that you can't ascertain just by reading the hyped up the specs of a scooter. I 100% agree with you on the scooter over car thing! I'd rather be on my PEV over every form of transportation in NYC since it can allow me to navigate it at my pace with out having to get caught in the mess. Damn, that's alot of money to fill up. I'm so happy I only have to fill up my car once a month. Our gas isn't as expensive but we'll have Congestion Tolls charging us up to $25 every time we want to drive in midtown soon. We'll make it up there lol. I'm hoping to be able to ride out with some of the west coast crews one day. It would be dope to do a video flying through the cities and the trails!

I feel that the klima is still a very powerful e-Scooter if you compare it to other scooters. Also leaving it the city, it's safer to have a less powerful scooter, one bump can be life changing.

Thank you for watching the video! You're absolutely correct. It's because people like me are so jaded because I spent so much time with a high performance machine like the Burn E. Every time i have a friend try it (they have little to no experience with scooters), they always call it "insane". Especially in cities, larger and more powerful isn't always better! This has been amazing and I feel is perfect for this type of riding.

@@eyebahnrides thanks for advice I do wear my safety gear. I won’t be going 40mph on mine. I am upgrading from a niu kqi3 max. I am a bit heavy 230lbs and wanted more hill power. Love the niu kqi3 max but single motor is no good for on hills.

@@ace3093 anytime! You're only a few pounds heavier than me so the Klima Max will push you up to 40mph with turbo on on max settings. It'll also give you tremendous torque/ power for hill climbing in the S and C settings (even under stock settings). Of course, we won't get nearly the performance of a 140lb rider but it's plenty! I've never got the chance to ride a the kqi3 but I've heard nothing but great things from the owners of it.

Hey Weldon, it’s all good brotha. It’s the same over here. Work has been overwhelming that it’s become really difficult to produce content and watch content while getting stuff done for work. But we gotta keep on trucking along because we gotta get things done even if it means we can’t watch things like we normally do. As much as folks don’t want to admit it, sometimes the best option isn’t the biggest and baddest things money can buy. I'm deciding between the Burn-e and the Klima, and now that you've done a lot of miles with these two scooters, I'd like to ask you a question: If you didn't have space problems with your neighbors at home and also with the space in your office, which one would you choose now? And the reasons for that choice? Happy Christmas!

Thanks for watching the review of the Klima and welcome to the channel Joao. I'm glad you've enjoyed the videos and my style. I was a bit worried when I started the channel because I don't have one of those over the top "SMASH THE SUBSCRIBE BUTTON BROOOOOO" type of personality that generally does well on KZfaq lol. If I had unlimited space and my own home, honestly, I would own both because I love each scooter for very different reasons hahaha. However, if I had to choose one, I would still choose the Burn E. The Burn E just provides the most complete package of insane performance, great range, insanely comfortable ride, aggressive design, and massive deck space. My opinion may also still be a little skewed because had the Burn E for quite a long time and put several thousand miles on it. My opinion may be different after the next couple of months on the Klima because I'm almost at 300 miles on it and I'm loving every minute on it lol. I know this may not be the answer that you're looking for but I hope it helps! Merry Christmas!

Thanks for watching this video as well Jumi, I appreciate the support! In the perfect world, I would've loved to own both the Burn E and the Klima Max. I also wouldn't have made the decision to downsize if my hand wasn't forced by my building. The Klima Max is an amazing scooter with many benefits that I mentioned in the video, but I loved my Burn E. It's hard to make a recommendation between the BE2 and the Klima because they're both great scooters. If you have the space for storage and it won't cause you any trouble with your neighbors, the BE2 would be a great choice. It has unbeatable ride comfort, a spacious deck, smooth power delivery, and gorgeous design. If you don't have the space and need something that can blend in more, the Klima is a better option. It's got incredible performance for its size, very nimble, comfortable for a 10in wheeled scooter, and isn't as hot on the eyes as the Burn E. I hope this helps!

@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Donald. That's a very hard decision because the Blast and the Klima are very different scooters in very different categories. It depends on what you value. If you want a compact scooter that delivers excellent performance for a its size, is nimble, and is under the radar, the Klima is a better scooter. If you don't have any space restrictions, want a scooter that feels like a muscle car, has a stiffer ride, and you need the 50+mph, then the Blast Max is better. There's no "one is clearly superior" because it varies depending on the owner's use case. The Klima is exceptional for its size while the Blast Max is probably one of the most powerful 60v scooters out there. I hope this helps!

It's nice to be able to hit all the elevation changes, scenery changes, and speed run areas all while giving me enough time to talk lol. I'm fully protected against the cold already! I have ski pants, my heavy jacket, and heated gloves on in this video. 36 degrees at 20-45 mph is quite cold lol. I like the camera angle and composition so far but I wish i could shoot at 4K+ while at higher framerates. Unfortunately, the x3 is not capable of that. I looked into the new insta360 cam but the FOV is just too narrow for my type of content. Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! I'm sure it can handle 293lbs because it moves me around at no problem and Im around 200 lbs. Honestly, I don't think its a good idea because the max load for the scooter is 265 lbs. I'm sure putting in stiffer springs and riding it more softly will help but I wouldn't risk it. Last thing you want to have is a scooter failure at 30+ mph! I would probably go up to the Burn E2 or Burn E2 Max which has a max load of 330+lb. I hope this helps!

Thanks for watching the original review Bill, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Make sure to check out the updated review I did last week. The only way to know what version the retailer is selling is by contacting them and asking. Generation 1 of the Klima has the LED strip brake light/ turn signals while Generation 2 of the Klima has the lights built into the rear fender. As an owner of the Gen 1, I would recommend avoiding the headaches of the brake sensor issue by just getting the Gen 2. The styling isn't worth it in my opinion.

@eyebahnrides 6 күн бұрын
thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! I did eventually change out the tail lights which you'll hear about in my updated long term review of the Klima. I personally really like the strength of the motor braking. In fact, I actually have them maxed out at 5 on X mode and at 4 on C mode. I would suggest making adjustments to your ride stance if sudden braking could throw you off. A balanced stance where you can can make defensive/emergency adjustments at high speeds will be really helpful. Since your scooter is new, take your time really getting to know it. It takes 100 miles to get an idea of how its going to perform and it takes several hundred to really get to know it. Of course this is in regards to riding in a congested city like NYC, it might require less time/miles depending on skill level and location. Hope this helps!

I have an Inmotion Hillclimber as my first scooter and enjoy everything about it except the short range. The Klima Max should allow me to commute to work 14 miles each way. Can you do a detailed video on the brake sensor issue- what are the symptoms, how can you fix it on the road, what the root cause is, and long term fix? It sounds like a worrisome problem that can leave you stranded on the road??
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Jeff! First, congratulations on your new scooter! I'm excited for you to get it and I'm happy that you got such a great deal with my affiliate code. Just make sure you take your time getting to know the scooter and always wear gear when riding. Just because you're a safe rider doesn't mean that the people around you are. Anything that will help improve the chances of you getting home to your loved ones, in my opinion, is always a worthwhile investment. The brake sensor issue is when the red exclamation mark on your dashboard wont turn off because of the sensor in the brake lever. The red exclamation activates an "motor shut off" and engine braking. So you won't be able to activate your throttle because the sensor thinks you're engaging the brakes even though you're not. First thing you should check is the brake set up. If you rewatch the video, and you have the LED strip in strip in the back like mine you have a Gen 1 Klima and that will be susceptible to the brake sensor issue. If that's the case, ask Chuck or the mechanic thats going to help you set up the scooter (its usually Ed or Aaron) to replace the brake sensors. After they replace it, test it by braking hard to see if the sensor will lock up. Finally, before you leave, have them show you how to adjust the sensor. It's a really simple fix that will prevent you from getting stranded on the road. The long term fix is to replace the brakes with another brake set like Magura MT5E or changing the rear light set up to the Gen 2 set up. The first option will be out of pocket, the second should be covered by the warranty. The other solution would be to have them swap out your gen1 scooter with a gen 2 scooter. However, this is something to discuss with Chuck because he works for the company and I don't lol. If your rear fender has a brake light on it with turn signals, you have a Gen 2 Klima Max and you have nothing to worry about. They fixed the issue on the new models with the fender lights. However, I would still ask them to show you how to adjust the sensor should you need to do any adjustments in the future. Also, ask Chuck and your mechanic to give you a rundown on general maintenance that you want to know about. They do an incredible job taking care of their customers. I hope this helps!

Picked up my Klima Max on Saturday morning in the pouring rain- drove in early from the Philly area and I-278 was a parking lot even at 8:00AM 🙄 Had a terrific experience with FluidFreeRide- Chuck spent almost two hours going through everything, including installing a few accessories. Btw, it was the V2, so no brake controller drama after 45 miles so far. Sunday was sunny and a glorious 64 degrees, so I took it on a 20 mile round trip ride to a local restaurant on neighborhood streets and busy suburban roads, and I am blown away by this scooter. I love my Inmotion RS, which at its $800 price and dual motors is one of the best performers in its class, but the Klima Max is a whole other level. I’ve been keeping it in D and S mode for now, and even with that, the acceleration is breathtaking. The build quality and robustness is incredible, and the handling is pure joy. Also the stability at speed is confidence inspiring. The Burn e2 was tempting for the 42mph plus 60-mile real-world range, but we have a seasonal RV campsite at the Jersey shore, so I needed a size where I can load it in and out of our car and SUV easily, so this checked the box for great performance and range in a more manageable weight and size. Thanks again for your great content- your rides and commentary on the Klima Max have been such a help. I love, LOVE this scooter.🛴

Thanks for watching this review DL and welcome back to the comments section! For the way things are in NYC now with all the potential restrictions, regulations, and bans coming, I still believe that the Klima Max is the best buy. The only thing that's going to potentially affect your ability to get them in NYC is the scooter's lack of UL Certification. Each one rides very differently and is quite fun in their own right. However, the best high performance urban commuter scooter is still the Klima Max. Now if I lived in a place outside of NYC with more open roads, I would have both the Blast Max and the Burn E! The Blast Max for high speed travel and the Burn E for cruising/ offroading. I hope this answer helps! BTW Keep an eye out for my video tomorrow!

Thanks for watching the video and sorry for the delayed reply, work has been bonkers this week! I'm getting close the stated range if I'm doing general commuting. I average about 40-50 miles with stop & go traffic, hard accelerations, occasional speed runs, with several elevation changes over a few days. If I were more conservative, I'm pretty sure I could hit 100km of range. I think the 72v system is just a bit more efficient despite being quite close in specs for battery size and motor output.

I'm deciding between a few right now that are quick but lighter than the wolf but its a tough decision. Get yourself an alarm, gps and a solid lock... my apollo phantom was stolen like 5 min before I left work. I have a follow up to this video that's uploading now. It'll go live at 8am ET tomorrow. One of the things I talk about is how people don't even notice the Klima. The Burn E would turn heads everywhere I went but nobody bats an eye with the Klima! I have a super heavy duty Fugghedaboutit chain and lock that I use when I leave my scooter unattended for more than 30 seconds. 99.999999% of the time, my scooter is going in with me where ever I go and I'll leave it with security if I have to lol. Thank goodness the Klima has the NFC reader as well. That paired with the lock has kept my scooter safe the handful of times I've left it out of my sight (no longer than 4 minutes).

@eyebahnrides

Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! The Nami Klima Max has so many programmable modes that it can easily do 40 miles with either conservative riding or in the lower riding modes. I charge this scooter every 4 days (12 mile round trip commutes) with general riding. That's a combination of stop & go, low speed, high speed, climbing inclines, and street riding in X mode. If I limit the Klima to the 3rd setting out of 5 (max speed of apprx 32mph), I could confidently do the 40 miles even at 200+lbs. You can also watch my old video where take the Nami Klima Base (25ah version) on a long range high speed 20+ mile ride and still had quite a bit of battery left after. I hope this helps!

Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel bossing! The Klima has the shortest handlebar height in the Nami line up. I saw a lady that was 5’0 riding it so I think you’ll be ok. However, you can either cut the stock stem or order one custom made from @MichaelSha if you wanted a shorter stem. I would probably say, try out the scooter first if you can before you decide to cut or order one. In my opinion, the taller bars help with control but that’s just my opinion. I hope this helps!

Thanks for watching and welcome back! The new sensors have held up but I'll update everyone if it happens again. I'm at 150 miles now and I haven't experienced any other bugs outside of the brake sensor. I plan on getting the PMTs for it but apparently they're delayed so we just have to a little longer. Though the more time I spend with the stock tires the more and more I like them lol. I may save my self $200 and just stick with stock! As for the Polish Throttle, I purchased this locally and this had to be cut and soldered to work. Now, the company makes them specifically for Nami Scooters and that will be plug and play. You can go to the official Nami FB group and search for the throttle. I believe a few of the European Dealers have left the link to the company that makes them.

thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Brian! I didn't get rid of the Burn E because I didn't like it anymore, I actually LOVVVEEE that scooter and would've kept it for as long as it worked if the situation with my building was better. The reason the Klima is acceptable is because all of it's specs are with in legal NYC regulations and that matters because that will be the benchmark used when we have to register it with the landlord. The Burn e is over the "legal weight limit" of 100 lbs. Just like Isaac and Joseph said, it stands out less so the angry anti PEV people in my building just ignore it. As much as I love the Burn E, I have to admit that I'm really enjoying being much more under the radar with the Klima. I hope this helps clarify the video

I’m approaching 500 miles on my KLIMA Max. I love it but I have a few nitpicks: Can’t charge if it’s over 80%. Hardly any tire options-I bought a tire bazooka and fit some 10x3 off road tires but because of the size of the rim I have to run 70psi to assure the bead stays seated. The bar sweep is not enough for me it gets uncomfortable after long rides. No pure one wheel drive mode. No phone app that I’m aware of-RFID is cool but it should be accessible with a phone. Stock brake pads are bad if you ride off road. I think that’s about it

Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel and congrats on the the Klima Max! Also, thank you for sharing your personal experience. I'm sure the community will really appreciate it! I personally don't mind the no charging over 80% because I only charge when the the battery gets down to 20% and I charge up to around 80-90%. So I haven't really run into that being a hassle (yet lol). This is great because it helps newer owners keep the battery health better. I haven't noticed the handle sweep yet but I haven't done any long rides yet. I definitely agree about the tires. I'm currently waiting for the 10x3.5 PMT tires since they're the only ones "made for the Klima". Which does worry me because those tires are expensive and if Nami decides to stop making those CSTs that come with it, we're kind of screwed lol. Good to know about the brakes. I plan to upgrade the stock ones in the future to Maguras or Hopes because the stocks braking power is a bit weaker in the wet compared to the 4 piston Nutt brakes I'm used to on my Burn E

Klima 1st Gen it’s trash , had two in 6 weeks , left me stranded 4 times , I’m not gonna ride with tool bag and have constant break down anxiety, I came into it from burn 2max due to size too , Max had issues too ,but not as often as Klima , I could not deal with that unreliability, I’m sure u get great same day service due to your status ,but rest of us earth-links it’s 4 days wait here , 6 days there before part available and space at FFR available, stay away from Klima , not worth the hassle , rushed scooter . Hope yours ain’t lemon , time will tell .

Sorry you had that experience. I'm at 150+ miles already and the Klima has been great. After 4000+ miles, my Burn E was excellent and extremely reliable. I could see the brake sensor being an issue when people were first running into it because they didn't know what to expect. Since it's been months and 2 iterations of Klima's have been released, it's such a simple fix to make a gen 1 a viable option. It's literally a matter of screwing and plugging a sensor in. That takes less than 2 minutes. It took longer to redo my cable management. LOL at the "Status" comment... Having a small channel doesn't get you preferential treatment. Maybe if I had 1M+ subs and I was a paid ambassador, I would receive that. Just like everyone, I pay of everything and I wait days or weeks on major service. If its something that I can do myself, I just buy the part and do it. I'm sure I could be an ass and threaten them with a bad review to get it done faster (like certain "influencers" ) but I work around their schedule because I know there's a service queue and I'm also not a jerk. When I had the Burn E's steering column changed along with a handful of upgrades it took 2 weeks and tire changes can take a few days.
