I love this concept! A version with "regular" (ie non-Masters) players, who get questions wrong now and then, would be very interesting.

Can someone explain this to me - what is the ‘switch’ element? Does that mean they pressed but were beaten? And does disqualified mean they pressed too early? And follow up… how do they know when they can press? Is it just as soon as ken stops talking?

Switch is when they're pressing it regardless of if it's accepted or not. Disqualified means pressed too early or someone else buzzed in. Once Ken finishes reading, there's a light that goes on they all can see that lets them know buzzing is open - though most skilled jeopardy players learn to buzz in by the cadence of the host's voice, so they're hitting it as it lights up rather than with reaction time based on the visual indicator.

Light travels faster than sound. How disappointing that someone posting on a Jeopardy! video (much less under the moniker@@Shockwave527, ironically) isn't aware of such an "elementary" factoid!!

@@Vic-Vega Not too sure the relevence of that, but Shockwave is right. You get better times when you "predict" when the light will go on based on the host's reading rather than reacting to the light itself. (And given how close Ken is to the contestents, the time difference between light and sound would be negligible)

@@Itsoo1You're "locked-out" of buzzing in if you press the signaling device too early. Just goes to show what you (don't) know.

@@Vic-Vega I'm well aware of that. But if you go by lights, there is still reaction time, usually around 0.2s, before you actually buzz in. Going by the cadence of the voice, while running the risk of buzzing early, can also give you much faster times if you're spot on. That's generally how players like James Holzhauer were able to be so dominant on the buzzer.

with all due respect, "a lot more viewers" doesn't actually make up for "the extreme loss of revenue from other sources that would happen if they did this"

@@AndySaunders1983ca Nobody said they had to be livestreamed shows. They've released episodes from time to time that are still on the channel, so they're clearly allowed to do so after a little while

@@AndySaunders1983caI mean, they already have done, as I mentioned, so it's clearly not financially unviable to do sometimes. I'm not going to pretend to know the intricacies of their contracts which allow them to frequently put up individual category videos but not full episodes as often (maybe a while after broadcast, like with UFC Fight Pass?), but it's a shame they don't either way
