I use sometimes mac and bought this one as well it has some cool things. It needs some getting used to... The finder is just awful, I think that's the first to change not the chrome, the fact "enter" goes to rename a folder instead opens it is just stupid, cannot "cut" and paste a file in the finder which is like nonsense as well no "back" gesture in the finder using the touchpad, but the multi desktop and the overall hardware is cool except it has no ports... and the 720p webcamera is like 2000's.

Buy a pc with windows with good specs or a gaming laptop you will safe 2-10k$+ get a virtual machine and done you have a mac / macbook for a cheaper price then the best mac

Just bought a MacBook Air and I was never a fan of Safari before but after using it now for a week, I've got to say that it is a lot better than Google Chrome for this specific device. It's faster and I find it less clunky than chrome! They have really stepped up their game because I hated Safari in the past but now I find they've fixed a lot of the problems we users had with it in the past. Great video btw! I downloaded the weather widget and I'm in love! :)

Using Chrome on Mac is a big mistake: it's eats up your battery like crazy, which is not good since it has an impact on your mac's battery life in a long run. It is also not as snappy as Safari is and a lot less private. Personally, I would not recommend using it on any OS, but on macOS it makes even less sense to use it.

Ii disagree I've done battery tests and there is no difference. Chrome is now modified for the M1 chip and is fast and secure. I find it more secure than safari which has one of the worst user interfaces I've ever seen.

@@JodiPatriceShaw Don't really like either, but safari on a Mac is far more secure than chrome. Google takes a lot of data from you. If you aren't worried about them seeing your history, contacts, usage, ect then feel free to use them.

It blows my mind that you didn’t check off “Tap to Click” Clicking the Trackpad was driving me crazy when I switched to Mac for my first time ever. I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed using it even with the efficient gestures if that wasn’t an option. That aside, great tips! Never use widgets much but now I know where to put the Calender and the Moon Phases sounds wicked.

I've been a windows user all my life too! I recently switched to a MacBook Air m1 and I can tell you it's been so hard learning how to do things and I felt like a lot was missing. After almost a month I am slowly getting used to it and I started to love it a lot!!

My tip to gain more screen space is to move the dock to the left or right vertical side. This opens up much more space on your screen.

yeah sure! none of the apps that I downloaded are very big, so I still had well over 100 GB left. (I had 256 GB to begin with)

Using Chrome on MacBooks drains battery way faster than using Safari does. It's like a 2-3 hour difference the last time I checked

Google Chrome may be optimized for ARM, but Safari is still faster regardless.

There is a terminal command wich speeds up the dock animation, when it shows up. It's way better than the slow standard animation I think. You can play around with the "0.2 number" in my command to find a speed that suits your needs. The command is:

Highly suggest enabling right click for that Magic Mouse 2 in System Preferences once you get it.

I don't think there's a difference between google chrome and safari, tho personally I prefer Safari as it's more simpler and less complicated to use. Google chrome also takes too much space.

Lol. Made a huge deal about hiding the menu bar so you could have 1 inch of screen space and then you take up 1/3 of the screen with a calendar and weather widget.
