I hate the "how long are you going to be" questions.

I live 5 minutes from the Valparaiso gate (the gate you're filming. I worked at that dominos as a GM. Those drivers literally get a base pass only once a month to deliver on the base. The base does a yearly background check and that's it. Once a month they renew their pass and boom delivering on base even to the dorms where the F35 pilots are living while learning). A lot of people have run the gate "thinking it's a toll booth", so now there are red/blue lights flashing on the guard shacks so people will pay the eff attention. Anything of high va!ue or security is well onto the base and you ain't filming from the perimeter. As a military dependent when I go on base they NEVER say a word about my dashcam OR my cell phone being docked on my magnetic dash holder. So.. wtf? Also, by the VPS airport, heading south on hwy 85, right before General Bond BLVD OR heading north just before the Crestview exit and the VPS airport there is a break in the trees at the end of the runway. It's fenced ofocurse but People have parked right there on either side of 85, north or southbound, taking pictures of the jets taking off. I have NEVER seen SF say a word to anybody taking pics. 🔴🟥🔴And you really need to audit the liars at Niceville PD. They for real did absolutely nothing about one of their "officers" lying on their report, after giving them irrefutable proof the "officer" was lying. There are good officers there but then there are officers who will lie on reports and affidavits to judges.

I wonder if they ever called the "news desk" 🤔

It should be noted that trained operative would have zero problem to observe and memorize gate operations if it was necessary, most likely from big distance, for many days, without being observed by these guards. I wonder though, what are gate "operations" besides sitting there all day and possibly checking the passes.
