Sounds like a good plot for a movie. Being Quarantined on a cruise ship. At the end of the movie they could fight to take over the boat, but accidentally crash it into the mainland and spread the virus.

"That you've seen" is an understatement. Incan kings would make new visitors camp outside the city for a month or two, while making young children and old people work and live during the quarantined (4months) with the visitors, just to see if the children and old folks got sick and died!

Ebola was a different disease in a different time at a different place. For all we know, they absolutely did do this with Ebola, just the media didn't report on it. Also, this is in China while Ebola was mostly in Africa, a generally poorer and less dense continent. They're taking such extreme measures now to make sure it doesn't get out of hand later. If they were to do nothing now it'd just spread and it'd be too late later.

Several Chinese Journalist reporting from inside Wuhan already went missing. One talked about how they busted down his door, suspect him of getting coronavirus, but then confiscate his laptop, phone and such. He used his spare phone to make one last report and then went missing after. HIs mother can't contact him, so he ask online and Famous Chinese MMA Xu Xiaodong made a video about it. Xu Xiaodong is another victim of China's government who tried to expose fake Kungfu master in China and forced to wear a clown painting whenever he fight.

Barely anyone has contracted it in the grand scheme of things. They're taking extreme measures in some cases to make sure things don't get out of hand before it's too late.

I don't know where you heard the entire medical system of China has been destroyed but China is being very open with this disease, since they weren't in the past and it got them in a lot of trouble. They have all these rules because if they didn't then it would become bad. Diseases live for a long time in the ground. By not allowing burial, this makes sure that once we eradicate it, it can't come back. Quarantines are necessary to make sure it does not spread quickly to the entire world.

It's not an airborne disease, it spreads through droplets; however, it can survive on surfaces for days or weeks.

Not gonna lie, COVID saved me life as well. Before that pandemic happened, I was a jobless loser with a Bachelors degree and couldn't find work for 3-4 years so I ended up moving back in with my parents for a while. When it hit, people started panicking and started quitting their jobs so a lot of vacancies at school districts opened up (I'm a licensed speech therapist). I then took advantage and got the job immediately. After I finally got insurance, I finally was able to afford to go get checked by my doctor and he stated that my high blood pressure would've caused me cardiac arrest if I kept up life without medicine for a few more months. I know it sounds wrong, but I'm very glad people panicked when the virus hit. It gives other people a second chance at life
