I gave my kitten the first bath today, I was shocked that he didn't whine, cry, or resist. Made it so easy for me.I was so proud of him. Thanks for this vid.

Back when I found my cat when he was a kitten, I tried giving him a bath, the critter screamed bloody murder. Water wasn't too hot or too cold, he just didn't like getting wet.

Just a little tip: Kittens and cats get stressed out by the sound of running water and freak out. To make it easier for your cat/kitten, please fill the sink first or get a tub and a cup and fill the tub and pour the water onto the cat with the cup so your cat can feel less stressed and won't have to get into the actual water.

Keeping a pet means you have to make sure the pet is happy, healthy and comfortable and stressing them out, ESPECIALLY young kittens is NOT making them comfortable. And no, they don't get used to it, they dread bathtimes more because of how stressed they were the first time and react badly.

Maybe they also didn't need to fill it so deep (just the way they had it originally). If the kitten didn't struggle to keep itself above water it imho would be way less stressed

My cat LOVES the sound of running water- she sits and listens to it sometimes. My cat also doesn’t mind water. A lot of cats don’t mind water but when I say she doesn’t mind it she jumps in the shower while I’m taking a shower and just lays there. Is there something wrong with my cat?

I had a kitten just like this one that i gave baths. His name was Rascal. He reacted the same way. As he got older , he would tolerate it until i got the towel to dry him off. He would meow, growl, and really fuss. I found out if the towel didn't cover his head he was not as bad. I then would turn on the hair dryer to low and he liked that and wouldn't fuss. Rascal was special and a gift from "God."

Street was such a calm, patient and brave little boy.

If you go back on their past videos, they gave Street a bath that lasted even longer than this one. And Street was crying his head off throughout. I was so enraged and I wrote this lady stating she could have bathed him in a matter of 3 to 4 minutes, and that she dragged it out way over 10 minutes not caring about Street's screams throughout. As I expected, she had no answer for me. Check for yourself and find the video.

I can remember giving 15 different kittens a bath with Dawn dishwashing soap from 4 week old because the stray mother had fleas and brought them to her kittens. They were they scared and loud, but in the end they were purring up a storm and as happy as can be!

By the way I have a 9 year old stray 62lb male yellow labrador mix "Chuck" I took in from the street when he was about 4 months old that would get nervous and shake when the cat's would chase each other in the house. One day he was so scared he was peeing on the couch and got up walking through the livingroom. Since then he's been ok. I guess you can say they scared the piss out of him! LOL! I also have an 8 year old 21lb shitzu mix "Sophie" I took in when she was about 4 months old from the streets too that from almost the beginning of all of my cat's lives has taken on the mother roll by grooming them and letting them nurse from her. I found both dogs in front of my house about a year apart "Chuck first then Sophie" when I came home from visiting my mother when she was in a nursing home both times.

You don't have to use Dawn. Any unscented dishwashing soap will do the same. Dawn has had a hugely successful "save wildlife" ad campaign, but it doesn't mean Dawn is any more special or different than other unscented dishwashing liquids.
