You have no idea how happy it made me to see the train conductor not only acknowledge your KZfaq presence but how friendly he was and accommodating in showing parts of the train you wouldn't have otherwise seen. That's amazing, and I'm really glad you are getting recognition for your work! This channel is the best find I've made on KZfaq in a long time and I can't wait to see what you'll show off in your future videos :)

Urggh compare that with the trains in UK...which are messy, jam-packed, constantly cancelled, delayed, in chaos because of strike action...this train journey is perfection!

1:49 Those trains look like they're from a sentai show. 7:01 I don't know if you can answer this question but I've noticed that some train routes are directly behind residential homes. Are these homes cheaper because the train passes by? 14:25 In this age of KZfaq and Tiktok where everything is recorded and uploaded online, a good honest conversation between new friends becomes a treasured memory. Some things should be kept private and known only to a few. Thanks for the calming train ride. I look forward to your next trip. Stay safe!

I remeber this train from the last time you rode it. it is a beautiful train! Yes, food is expensive on the train but you must remember there is limited space and the service that goes with it makes it that more expensive! I think it is worth the price since it is such a bother to have food service on a train in the first place. Taking this train is really "going in style"! If it were longer, it could be like a mobile hotel! Many people just take trains to get from point A to point B. They don't take the train for entertainment. I think that should change! The train is like a luxury RV! How wonderful it would be to go from one end of Japan to the other on a long train ride! Im rambling now. Thank you for the trip and looking forward to the next one! ☮

Thank you so much for the videos. It's been a delight to travel with you, because Japan is very unique place, with unique people, unique stile, culture, services, technologies. It's some kind ahead of any other countries... But, please.. when starting, along with giving an amount of covering distance, let us know how much time takes a train or a bus to get to destination.

Great video Travelgeek-san. The part where the conductor came to your room and then have further discussion on his chamber just a chef kiss for the video. This is my first comment on any youtube channel ever. I'd always prefer your channel, which somehow soothing and what I like more is that you didn't put some clickbait title like "1,000 dollar train ride to xxx".. 😁 I want to visit Japan next year and try as many train and bus rides as I can. I have never been to Japan and was only thinking Japan is all about Tokyo or Osaka or Kyoto but now all I can think of Japan is train/bus/food/historical or cultural places. Oh I've heard from other youtuber that tourist can also consider to stay love hotel rather than only capsule hotel. Would appreciate if you probably can create a video about it. Thank you for nice video and kinda wish you could be the CEO of Shimakaze one day haha 🍻

The train could have a longer trip to enjoy it more. The food (I didn't like seafood) but to be offered on a train and prepared on the spot, I didn't find it expensive, maybe not enough for those who like it.
