"The bathroom is pretty standard"... To me is still looks better than most of the hostles and some hotels, at least it looks better than bathroom in my flat :)

This is probably weird but I enjoy when you take the longer trips because it makes me feel like you probably got a good night's rest instead of a rushed sleep due to the shortness of the trip lol

I've visited Japan 4 times in my life but never thought to take a ferry. After watching all of these videos, I will definitely add a ferry ride to my agenda next time I'm there.

Never even thought of taking a ferry myself, but when you look at it it would save you hotel bills - if you travel at night anyway.

@@bobmetcalfe9640 or you could take it as a part of your vacation - yes you need to get from A to B - but take a ferry instead of plane or train just for the experience - I have no interested in theme parks or huge crowds - but I sure would enjoy a ferry ride since I’m near Great Lakes 🇨🇦 FAR from Pacific or Atlantic

Thank the kami that you tested the cream puff, you most likely saved some cat lives. Now I can rest easy knowing that if any cat goes on that ferry, they will know that cream puffs aren't for them. But I am sure the pork ribs will be fought over, it made my stomach growl a bit.. 😸

My husband and I hope to travel to Northern Japan in a few years. I grew up in Redwood Country in No. California, USA and hope to see the beautiful Japanese Redwood Trees someday. 🌳 And of course try curry rice on your recommendation. He he

I think I have lost track of how many ferries there are. The same port locations appear again and again, but every time it's something unique. I think we have sailed in the Seto Inland Sea over 50 times now 🤣🤣

My mom's previous cat was named Neko. My sister and mom usually give their cats Japanese names. My sister's current cat is named Jo Jo (after the anime character not the singer).

I love how everything in Japan has Mascots. Most are super cute, some are down right scary looking. How can a company go wrong with kitties.. I would of needed the big bath towel. Lol

My favourite Japanese mascot is Melonkuma. "What if we combined a food and an animal, but instead of being kawaii, it was a hideous abomination that should not be?"

The ferry is very nice and your room was great . . . all the comforts of home. The gift shop looks nice and seemed to be well stocked. I would have gone for the cookies. Pork ribs looked tasty, glad you got a large rice. Thank you for taking me along . . . will see you in the next one. Take care. 😊

I don't know why i did, but when i saw "Hankyu," I thought of "Here I am, Hankyu like a hurricane..." ...also, if I ever got a nice cabin on a Japanese ferry, i would want to take it on a route from Kagoshima to Wakkanai: as far as I can tell are close to the Southern and Northern extremes of the main Japanese islands.

I want ALL of the Funeko things! The towel, the shirts, and especially the plushies! I also believe this ferry line is the nicest you travel on. Cream puffs are a specialty of the state fair where I'm from, although they don't contain custard.

You are absolutely right, STJ! Cream puffs are way too sweet for us cats, so I'm glad you enjoyed it instead! This was a nice trip with a comfortable cabin and the eggplant was truly 美味しそう! I would have purchased the funeko towel as it was very cute! Looking forward to the next trip!
