Written by Bafta-nominee Daniel Lawrence Taylor, Boarders is a coming-of-age comedy drama about five underprivileged students who win scholarships at a prestigious boarding school. As part of a PR strategy, St Gilbert's have opened their doors to the teenagers to save their reputation, following a firestorm around a video leak of their students behaving badly.
The drama is gripping, not shying away from the school's issues of institutionalised racism and bullying. But the comedy is fresh too, as the five teenagers try to find their place amongst their wealthy peers.
