Tip: you might want to do your slides in reverse- more recent on top. Once you get a bunch of slides, it’s a pain to scroll through.

As a student back in the day, I hated scrolling to find a specific date as well (especially as the year goes on). So I would do reverse as a suggestion.

You can add more fonts to the google slides options by clicking more fonts, scrolling through & selecting the ones you want. I have a Beyonce board in my class 😂 it’s a bulletin board with the Beyonce meme on it. I just pin papers without names on it. I love it.

Thank you! This was very helpful. I love the watercolor theme that you used on your slides. I love that you start class with the formation in a circle. It shows that your classroom is a very welcoming environment.

Thanks so much for this! I always ask my students to stand behind their chairs before dismissing them. This does a couple of things - first, it forces them to push in their chairs, and secondly then I ask them to look under tables and chairs and make sure they have everything so I avoid items being left behind. Then I dismiss the girls and then the boys so they don’t all rush the door.

Daily slides are the best! Loved this vlog and the realness of it! 😂 I go back tomorrow and am remembering how tired my feet and body were last year-it always shocks me. Can’t wait lol. 🙄 I feel ya.

Rotating schedules seems like a great idea, but I'm so OCD I think I would pull my hair out! I also use google slides for instructional frameworks! Awesome!!!

Is your administration supportive of making cuts? I had over 100 kiddos involved in our musical and I had one part time staff helping bedsides some parents and it was really chaotic. Hoping to dial it down a bit this year.

Hi, not sure how much time you dedicate to editing, but try a screen cast then you dont have to worry about holding the camera and it will record you talking so no need for voice over

+too cool for middle school Megan , The most beautiful thing a woman can wear is a smile . The rest is history . The best gift a teacher can give their students is positivity . The rest is history . With everything that school is with the curriculum that has to be taught there is one thing the curriculum fails to teach and that is as long as there is a mutual understanding between students and teachers , everything else will ultimately fall into its' proper place . Have a fantastic school year and above all , enjoy your students and allow your students the time to enjoy you with the educating them . - Dwight
