First Day Exclusive Drive on India’s Longest Sea Bridge Atal Setu | Mumbai Trans Harbour Link
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision is to improve ‘ease of mobility' of citizens by strengthening urban transport infrastructure and connectivity. In line with this vision, Mumbai Transharbour link (MTHL), now named 'Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewari - Nhava Sheva Atal Setu' has been built. The foundation stone of the bridge was also laid by the Prime Minister in December, 2016.
Atal Setu has been constructed at a total cost of more than Rs 17,840 crore. It is about 21.8 km long 6-lane bridge having about 16.5 km length over sea and about 5.5 km on the land. It is the longest bridge in India and also the longest sea bridge in India. It will provide faster connectivity to Mumbai International Airport and Navi Mumbai International Airport and will also reduce the travel time from Mumbai to Pune, Goa and South India. It will also improve connectivity between Mumbai Port & Jawaharlal Nehru Port.

Old route is 57 km, new is 22km. Maths for up-down is: old route -57*2 = 114 Kms, new route = 22* 2 = 44, difference is 70 Km less for new route . My vehicle gives mileage of 10km per litre , so it basically saves 7 litres of diesel for me , and saves 7*94 = Rs 658 for me. Out of which i give Rs 375 as toll , which gives net savings of Rs 283 per trip. Also, it saves 3hours-40 mins which is 2 hours 20 mins

The place where you stopped is only for emergencies. Otherwise stopping is prohibited. Sad to see that the cab driver was not wearing the seat belt. A wonderful bridge indeed.

Idiots and idiot drivers in India is a constant! 1. Stay in th middle of your lane! Not on top of the line straddling two lanes! Use indicators if switching! 2.The hard shoulder is for emergency vehicles not for sightseeing as so many idiots were doing! 3. Stay near speed limit i.e. stay at 85 - 100 kmph... not at speed below 85 kmph unless it is an emergency!

Bro it is not costly if you take this atal setu bridge even it is cheaper than the previous one . Let me give you the details If you go by the car with an avg of 15km /lit १)Earlier distance = 57km nearly , you will have to burn min. 2.5 lit extra for moderate traffic ( If traffic is high that generally occurs then > 2.5 lit) for 36km. 2.5 lit x 109 = ₹272(min.) 2) there is a toll tax in that route cost ₹35 Total= 272+35=₹307 So you save ₹57 +precious time min. 1hr ( while using ATAL SETU) ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

But atal setu is 21.8 Km, and for a car that gives milage od 15km/lit will have to burn 1.4lit of petrol to cross the Atal setu which will cost = 1.4*109= ₹ 152.6 , plus an toll of ₹250 so total = 152.6+250=₹402. earlier the distance was 42km between these two points but still Atal setu is costly

@@harshnaik6989 There might be a different exit for different route so different dist. Even if you consider 42 km, mileage will not be the same when you go through the traffic . You will have to burn 2 lit extra + 35 toll tax.( time costly also)

The bridge is going to serve as the gateway to Mumbai city for international travelers once the Navi Mumbai Airport becomes operational in a few years' time. Once the airport opens, the bridge will be super busy.

माननीय मोदीजी आपण खूप चांगले काम करत आहात सर्व रस्ते आणि इतर सुविधा पण... वाहतुकी वर काही नियम आले तर बरं होईल किती टॅक्सी, ओला, टूरिस्ट गाड्या, रिक्षावाले तर अक्षरशः माजलेत त्यानां जायचे तिकडेच ते येणार, जवळचे भाडे नाकारणार म्हातारी माणसे, लहान मुले, आजारी माणसे काही समजत नाही त्यांना कृपया ह्यावर काही कडम नियम बनवा ही विनंती.
