Getting married officially before the big day is such a normal military thing. My husband got orders to Japan, so we got married before he left because it made more sense. I feel like many people are uneducated about the military life, and honestly, just need something to talk about. You'll love military life, girl! I'm not sure whats more disturbing, the fact that people went out of their way to google Casey and Davis' personal information or that they are affected by the fact Davis and Casey are married (ya'll need to go find a hobby.). This is Casey's life not theirs and heaven forbid she doesn't tell us everything, I mean how dare she?! There are some of us who adore Casey such as myself and have been watching her for years. Sweetie, let me tell you something--I'm a mom, my oldest is 22--I started watching your videos with my 17 year old and actually I'm watching them myself now (ok, that was a little embarrassing to admit lol but you've brought a whole new makeup world into our home with your drugstore videos), but the ONLY thing you need to worry about is your happiness, your life, your choices. People's comments that are anything but positive should tell you more about themselves than anything you're doing. Your husband and you appear to have an incredible relationship and I only pray that both of my daughters find a young man like you have found and that my son treats women the way Davis treats you. Be happy, enjoy every moment--because life is precious and it goes by so fast. One day you're a newly married woman and the next you're a 46 year old woman with 3 kids watching makeup videos (from a gorgeous young woman with a prince in her life) to finally figure out how to use all that sh*t (blush). I don't understand why other people had their panties in a twist about this whole situation. She got legally married before she announced her engagement, so what? In the video that she explains her engagement she says she's surprised and didn't know when Davis was going to propose because she probably didn't know. Getting legally married so it would easier to live on post is something completely separate from getting engaged and having a wedding, celebrating their relationship. Y'all need to relax and let her live her life how she wants to live it, be grateful that she's so willing to share information about her personal life.

People who don't have a connection to the military will never understand the differences in everyday life. My husband and I had a legal ceremony before our actual ceremony too. It's totally normal in the military!! So happy for you both and congrats on your first home together!!!

My sister did the same thing & had a ceremony a year later. My brother-in-law was leaving for his 2nd tour to Iraq & wanted her to be taken care of while he was away. The community was extremely helpful & loving. My niece also recently married & moved to Germany to be with her paratrooper & they started a family. ☺️👨‍👩‍👧 Only you two are in the relationship, do what's best for your family. GIRL it's 10000% normal and I'm pretty sure every military couple does that! My husband and I got married in a court house right before IBOLC graduation for the exact same reason. It makes life so much easier!

Him and my sister got married and had a ceremony later on to make things easier for them, plus with deployments and everything else she wanted to be sure she could carry on his name if anything were to happen to him. My husband and I got married after dating for 10 months. He was at Ft. Rucker in flight school and got orders for Hawaii. I was initially going to just move wherever with him off post as a girlfriend, but when we found out it was Hawaii we realized that would just be a HUGE hassle being unmarried. So, one random Wednesday afternoon I had off work and he got out of class early--we just went to the court house and got married. 7 years later, 5 duty stations, one deployment and ranger school--we're still together! So although it might seem unconventional to some, it's damn near mandatory in military life. SOO excited for you and Davis' new journey together. Congrats! Love y'all! ❤️

Some people just don't understand! My husband and I got married before our wedding so that I could live on Base with him in Hawaii (we are from Texas).
