At the end of November, the sun sets for a last time in Utsjoki, the northernmost municipality of Finland. It will then stay under the horizon until the middle of January. This is the Polar Night, or as the Finns call it: kaamos.
The absence of the sun doesn't mean however that it is completely dark here. For a few hours each day, a beautiful twilight will illuminate the landscape, and the sky will display all hues of blue, pink and orange, just like in this video.
