I’m so glad Rylan had a good first day of school. Also so sweet of Savanna to show him around. The saying, goes it takes a village and with that many kids and sweet traditions you need all the help you can’t get. Sweet of Joe, Halie, Arianna, Bonnie and their Grandmother to be a part of it all. Hope this school year is fantastic for them all! Also hoping the younger kids see how important school whether it’s trade school or college is by Bella’s example.

The new daughter's "I'm so happy!" made me cry! I already love her little personality! I can't wait to get to know her! The "faceless" waiting time until the new adoptions always seems to take for-ev-er! Lol **edited to add.... why does alex look 16!?!??! Looking good dude!!!!

The new daughter's interactions with the family already are so cute. The hig with Aaron and yelling love you on the way out of crystals car. So sweet and amazing that they provide so many kids with a loving environment and home

Looks like they all had a good first day of school. My mouth was salivating with the breakfast you all pitched on to make. I could almost smell the bacon through my computer screen! So great that Halie and Alex came by. Alex looks great clean shaven and with shorter hair! He is so grown up now. I was a proud mama's boy and didn't mind hugging my mom in front of my friends either. You have an amazing family!

OMG, I can't wait to finally meet your new daughter! To hear her at the end of her first day get in the car and say "Hi Mommy" brought tears to my eyes and then to hear her yell out "Hi Shelly" was heat warming. She was so happy and excited. I hope Rylan finds his school easier to maneuver soon. You have an amazing "village" stepping up to the plate and assisting you with getting breakfast ready, kids up and out and ready to tackle their day. Kudos to Joe, Joanne, Bonnie, Ariana, and Halie! Honestly, watching your family living life makes my heart sing! Your kids are so amazing! Because your parenting skills are so amazing! And they are surrounded by adults who love and encourage them. I like Savanah and Rylan's friendship and how she helped set him as ease first day of Jr High. Aurora is so dear and makes "not a morning person" so real! "Hi Mommy!" from your new daughter was wonderful to hear! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love Alex's new look with the shorter hair and clean shave.. Even his personality is more like the happy-go-lucky Alex from high school and I think he lost that for a little while with the stress of adulting.. I hope he continues to find his happiness, I know he's worried about figuring out what he wants to do, but as Allie said in her video, that's what the early 20's are for..I loved the older kids getting up early to help out.. Rylan will be ok, I bet in less than a week he'll rule the school.. Your new daughter's happiness is infectious, I don't need to see her face to know her heart is beautiful..

I love the relationship that your new daughter and Aurora has its so sweet it’s like they have always been together. I also love how she greeted you and Shelly after school you can tell she loves the entire family can’t wait to be able to see he cute face. So glad all the kids had a good first day my son starts Thursday his Senior year and my daughter starts her first day of College Monday.

How wonderful all the children look can't wait to see your new adopted daughter she does look like a lovely little girl. Got to say your Logan has such a gorgeous smile and I don't think I've seen him that happy in a long long while. He worried me at one stage when you'd be talking to him but it was like he was staring right through you..But that smile was and is the best. Hope youngest two have a fab first day xxxxxxx

There is going to be lots of interesting things on Bella's scrubs throughout her nursing career :) Love how all the siblings support each other in their various life things-tbh not sure I would get outta bed at 4:30 for my siblings! Bonnie, Joanne, Joe and Halie are at your house EARLY!! THe note idea is so sweet! Lunch looks yummy! I am Aurora in the morning-if my day started at 12 I would be most helpful! Wow, Aurora looks so much older in this video! I am surprised they allow peanut butter at your schools, they don't here! Love the picture tradition! Wow Brody looks older too, the time goes quick! Max was hilarious! I love that your new daughter and Aurora like to match! You have to embrace the chaos with that many kids! Your new daughter sounds like a sweetheart!

Joe cut a little off the top and bottom of the cantaloupe. Then peel the fruit by slicing the peel away from top to bottom. Love how everyone pitches in to help

You are sooo amazing. Even just being 1 of 3 kids then once my brothers were at boarding school the only one at home my parents never made me a cooked lunch for first day back at school. You are such great family making such a delicious feast for first day of school.

I'm honestly so proud of bella 🥺 she's actually taking the necessary steps to achieve her dream and i feel like she won't be able to if you hadn't adopted her. I also wanted to take Medical School before but unfortunately my family just don't have enough funds for it 😭

My 2 granddaughters started back today. They r in 10th & 11th. Why not do the all the kids together after school? Halie watching Aurora going off to school was like she was her child. Heard your new daughter holler Shelly, was so sweet. She had an awesome day. Yeah ❤❤❤

Great vlog. Loved that everyone wanted to help out mornings can be so stressful especially first day back when nobody us in a proper routine yet. I'm so glad Rylan had a good first day being in a new school without the security of your siblings can be really scary but he will soon find his way and he seems like he's great at making friends so that will be a bonus. Your new daughter (for some reason I feel like calling her matilda or tilly for short?) Was so cute when she was calling you mommy and I'm do glad they all had a great day although logan didn't seem too happy hope he had a good day and was just tired

Thank you for sharing the first day of school activities for the majority. The only one I missed in the pictures, is Luke? But Halie was happily in the group photo 😊 It was nice that there were so many family members helping with the morning routine. On the other hand, I think it might create some extra tension, also because it is recorded. Though your new daughter seems to be able to adapt and integrate rather easily. A new family, new house rules and traditions, a new school. Wishing you good luck with the new schedules and routines. Take good care 🥰

I did this in school! I went for cosmetology! Got my license as soon as I graduated, it’s such a great choice if it’s available. Getting dual schooling in one is fantastic.

Crystal, you say the word “like” more often than the kids. While talking to Alex, maybe you were anxious because the kids just left for school. At the end of the day when picking up the kids, with Aaron, I didn’t notice that speech pattern. You and Aaron, are such great parents to all your kids. I noticed your new daughter is expressing hugging and say she loves you, which shows she is settling in well. Thank God, you opened the door for another child to feel included and loved within an encouraging family unit! God bless everyone!❤CarrieJo/NC

Cut the cantaloupe kind of like Ariana did, except keep cutting the halves in half, till they’re about 2-3 inches wide. Then make vertical cuts in each slice, the size of pieces you want them to be. Then take the knife and run it along the bottom edge of the fruit…right above the rind. It makes perfect sized chunks.
