Season 1 Episode 1 "Derailed"
The grand opening of Chicago Med's emergency department is interrupted by victims of an "L" train crash, pushing the staff to their limits. Dr. Will Halstead and the new trauma fellow Dr. Connor Rhodes butt heads when the latter pulls rank when it comes to treating patients. Pregnant pediatrician Dr. Natalie Manning reveals that her husband was killed during his tour of duty in Afghanistan. Medical student Sarah Reese's first days on rotation take an emotional toll on her. Halstead and Manning are forced to perform an emergency surgery on a patient who is a surrogate to a couple.

My favorite part of the episode was when Dr. Rhodes did his own stiches shirtless. Like, there was no need for him to do it shirtless, he just felt like it.

That's one hell of a way to start a show. Usually medical dramas don't have big accidents like this until the 2nd season. This show jumps right into the deep end. It's like starting a police drama with a bombing.

I like that in Grey's anatomy you can tell a person's rank at least somewhat by their shirts, different colors for residents doctors and nurses, wish they did that in more shows, although this might be more realistic, I actually have no clue (although some of the other people in the hospital have the same colors as those 3 groups, but they're not the main characters xD)
