+From Head To Toe I'm about 5ft 2, around 108lbs and both times I was pregnant I had very minimal baby bump but both were born 'average' weight around 7lb 6oz ish. My sense of smell was crazy, I was always freezing cold and yeah, I normally have very low blood pressure too. I was prescribed iron for my low iron reserves. Anyway! Fellow petite mumma here and yup my Korean rellies all found out early cos my aunt told everyone and I CRIED. 2nd time round we kept it a secret and people were offended they werent told hahaha. Cant win. Doesnt matter. Its all about YOU! Sincerest congratulations!!!!!!!!!!

Of course you can tell people you are pregnant.. I told lots of people (so did my mum and my husband) because everyone was excited. Maybe just don't tell people who don't genuinely care for you. I don't regret telling even though I ended up miscarrying my first pregnancy (2014) because I want people to know that miscarriages are so common and shouldn't be a taboo topic! We should not be ashamed about something beyond our control. I am now nearly 6 months pregnant, things are looking good, super excited.. but I still openly talk to people about my miscarriage.

Hey Jen! I want to share...I was actually at 76 lbs starting weight when I got pregnant (4'8" mama here) and gained around 18 lbs throughout the pregnancy. My body didn't change much but had a very very big bump which made me look like I swallowed a huge huge watermelon. Haha! I gave birth to a healthy 7.2 lbs baby girl. I just want to say you're not alone...there are a lot of petite moms who did very well. The human body is amazing 👍🏼 I'm excited for your journey 😚

So happy for you!! My baby is almost 7 months now. I experienced horrible morning sickness around 8-13 weeks. I thought I was dying and didn't know how I'd get through it. I always said that I wasn't one of those glowing, happy pregnant women. Now, every single day I wish that I could relive all of it again. It was, and still is, the best time of my life. I'm praying for a healthy pregnancy and baby for you! I'm so happy that you're now comfortable to talk about it with people :)

When ever I get blood drawn I have to ask them to use a child size needle because my veins are so small. Next time u need it done u might want to ask them for one too. It has helped tremendously and now they don't have to poke me 10x. I hope that helps and I'm so excited to watch your whole pregnancy journey. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I totally felt cold early in my pregnancy too! At work, I would wear a sweater and slacks that came up to my ankle and booties and there's a sliver of ankle skin that's exposed and that sliver of skin would feel SOOOOO freezing I would wrap a blanket around my whole legs like I was wearing a potato sack. Anyway, loving these vlogs! It's so nice to hear someone else's journey and relating to them. It's been very fun, helpful, and encouraging. I'm currently 11 wks. Thank you!! 🌹🌷🌸💐🌺🌻🌹🌹🌾💐

Hi Jen! First off, congratulations! I also just wanted to note about what you said about the PF flu shot. The PF flu shot is given to pregnant women because it does not have mercury in it like the other flu shots. For pregnant women, it is advised to avoid mercury and although the regular flu shot does not have toxic amounts of mercury in it, the PF is recommended to just be extra cautious. None of the flu shots have live ingredients in it; the strains are all inactive/dead. - Girl in pharmacy school :)

You will be just fine Jen! I am also petite (5'05) and gave birth to a healthy 8lbs 8oz boy. No C-section. Only thing that bothered me in my last trimester was that he was sitting on my ribs! I had no idea that he would be so big. Do not worry too much. With every doc's appointment they will tell you what vaccines you will need and what the next step is. One advice I can give you is, keep exercising! any kind of exercise will benefit you during and after delivery. :) Good luck, don't panic and do not listen to too much negativity! Just enjoy the pregnancy because it goes by sooooo fast! I had definitely enjoyed my pregnancy and secretly wanted to last it longer. (it may sound crazy lol!)

Just... gotta say it. That is a lower weight than I expected! I'm the same height and generally the same build (XS for a lot of clothes sizes, small chest, etc), but I'm 20+ pounds heavier. Kinda a crazy thought! I'm interested to see how these vlogs progress and if c-section is in your future and more of what a role your smaller frame may play in the pregnancy :O. Disclaimer: Not body shaming anyone, including myself!

+imtoolazyyyy No worries I didn't get body shaming even 1%! I know, weight can be so weird especially with us petite girls but it's a lot about bone structure and frame. Even my sister is over 10lbs heavier than me and she's tiny too! I'm hoping c-section won't be expected but none of the doctors have said anything like that and ultimately, health of the baby is the most important thing. :)

Hey Mama! So excited for you! I'm 5'1" and I normally weigh 100, and I just gave birth to a baby boy on NYE. You're gonna be awesome! They took so many vials of blood because they do a complete blood work up - basically every test and every STD test to get a baseline and to make sure they know best how to treat you and baby. During my pregnancy I had to get blood tests done 3 separate times, which I think is normal because my pregnancy was normal. Can't wait for more updates!

Hi Jen! Congrats on your pregnancy!!! I am also pregnant as well...currently 9 weeks. This is my 5th pregnancy but 4th baby. I am right now 24yrs old. Yes, I started young beginning 17!!! But happily married! I myself have faced a miscarriage which I have never thought I would. I miscarried my third pregnancy, but had a healthy fourth pregnancy and a healthy chubby baby boy. Do not be too worried about miscarrying, yes it does happen to women but dont let it stress you out. Do just continue to be very careful with your body and I am sure you do a perfectly well job already. Being pregnant is amazing, especially when you begin to feel the baby move around 5months. It is something you cant explain but that is a time when you finally feel that yes, you are going to be a mom. Dont be too superstitious. Be yourself and take care of your body. Congrats once again!!! Cant wait to be apart of your journey! :)

Aw, you are so cute! This is such a great video and thanks for sharing your experience. I'm in Nursing school right now and going through my Maternity lecture and rotation and I like watching people's KZfaq videos detailing their experiences because it helps me reinforce the information so thank you again! I just have to point out one thing, blood pressure is not suppose to increase during pregnancy, it is suppose to decrease if anything because the circulating progesterone causes widespread vasodilation. However, keep up the good work beautiful.

Hey Jen, I just found your channel and I think you're so cool! I study midwifery and I just wanted to say congratulations on being pregnant! Also, your blood pressure normally drops till around 20 weeks and then gradually goes back to your pre-pregnancy level. But according to your story, you were very nervous at the doctor's appointment, which makes it perfectly normal for your blood pressure to rise. We learn that people will always have a higher blood pressure at the hospital than at home, just because of the excitement! :) It's also very normal that you're easily out of breath. While pregnant your body is more sensitive to CO2, so whenever this level is rising, your body will immediately start to 'hyperventilate' (being out of breath). And don't worry about your weight, just eat healthy & normal and then it's all good! :)

Thanks for sharing your low BMI! I am also small and always have been and struggle to make it to 100lbs. I've scared myself on reading about how women with low BMIs have a hard time conceiving/carrying, so this makes me feel a little better knowing I will probably never reach a "normal BMI" no matter how hard I try. Good luck to all women trying or newly pregnant

congrats on your pregnancy! I'll be 19 weeks on Monday so I know what youre going through. Though, I went through a terrible morning sickness. I didn't get hospitalized, thank goodness, but i hope that you don't get any of that. I was really lucky to have my husband by my side and taking care of me the whole time. Second semester has definitely been a lot better and I'm much happier and excited now. Once you get your first ultrasound, you'll wish you can see the baby all the time. its amazing. Also, i use both those apps. they are great, and the forum you can read so many moms opinions on Glow. Another good one is the what to expect app cause every week gives you a video of what your baby has developed and its pretty neat. Good luck on the days ahead! Wish you a healthy pregnancy! xo

You are glowing!! I'm almost 19 weeks pregnant and my morning sickness started when I was 6 weeks. I was really sick, I had Hyperemesis Gravidarum. I was losing a lot of weight caused by my extreme vomiting that I had to get IV treatments at home and I had to take vitamins and nausea meds through An IV. I was really depressed and miserable 😭 . But thank God I'm doing so much better. Wish you the best!! Hope you don't get any morning sickness because it really sucks. I think having morning sickness is the worst symptoms during pregnancy:) Take care xoxo!!

When they drew my blood they were very rough, but didn't cut me! And I was also extremely surprised by how much blood they took. In addition to that that I was also extremely cold(even though I'm pregnant with identical twins!). You're so lucky they you didn't get morning sickness so early on because I was absolutely miserable, but that probably had to do with the added hormones. Thank you for being honest with us! I know its hard to talk about weight, wether your underweight or even at a normal good weght, because people are so judgy. I remember getting a ton of blood drawn in my first trimester but I know it wasn't that early because the Army OB refused to even see me until I was over 6 weeks and I think that my blood draw was around 8 or 12 weeks.

I never had morning sickness, my fiancé actually got morning sickness throughout the whole time I was pregnant. Every morning when he woke up he would vomit. That was great lol. Being pregnant is such a blessing. My advice is to take so many pictures of your body changes and once the baby is born cause the way they change throughout the months and years is absolutely amazing. My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and I feel like it was just yesterday when I had her. Good luck on your pregnancy!

Your blood pressure actually drops during the first trimester and normalizes at term, so it's not supposed to increase, otherwise you might be at risk for preeclampsia. But since you're blood pressure is normally low, I can't imagine that the increase was anything major. Congrats Jen! :)

I am so happy for you. Every expectant mom is different and you should keep that in mind if you are going to have people comment on your pregnancy while it is happening. You should set limits now as to how much info you give to us and maybe give us trimester updates. You should be treated like a goddess from everyone who is close to you, because you are literally growing a child. Keeping calm is good for mom and child. I found that I relied a lot on meditative practices during my pregnancies and it helped a great deal.

I'm actually 5' 7" and when I got pregnant I weighed 115 and when I went to my 3 month checkup I had lost 5 pounds! Throughout the entire pregnancy I gained 15 pounds and my daughter weight a little over 8 pounds

Yep! It's normal to get that much tubes of blood. I'm a lab technologist, (and pregnant too hehe) my doctor explained to me what the tests were for. So they're testing your hemoglobin level, ferritin level, your TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), if you have any anemia's, your blood type, if you have any hepatitis' or anything like that. I'm not sure if you'll get the choice in America, but in Canada mothers get those choice of doing something called "Maternal Serum Screen". Where they take a couple more blood samples to see if baby has a chance of getting any fetal abnormalities i.e. Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome or Trisomy 18. Some people opt out of doing it, because they can find out if baby may have it through ultrasound. But I did it anyways. Your doctor will ask you (if it's a choice) around your 2nd trimester.

I have a low BMI naturally too. I'm now 37 weeks and have gained 34 pounds and still gaining. you will be fine just keep being healthy! I also had 7 viles taken during my first blood test. I too was shocked - I hate blood tests!!! Congrats and stay healthy - all the best to you.

I'm so happy you have made it through your first trimester. Unfortunately miscarriages can not be prevented and it does affect a lot of women. Speaking from experience, I had two before I was able to carry my daughter full term. We told everyone right away the first time because we were so excited and it was devastating having to go back and tell everyone you aren't pregnant anymore. The second time we decided to not tell anyone, so when it happened again, it wasn't any easier because it feels like you are suffering in silence. I'm just thankful that the third time was a charm and I have my beautiful daughter. Becoming a parent will turn your life upside down, but I wouldn't change it for anything! 😊

Congrats Jen, very happy for you... I just gave birth to my 1st baby a month ago everything is still new and learning every moment of it. I could tell you everyone pregnancy is different. The first trimester is mind blowing for me, hormones going off the roof everything is emotional for. I'm learning how my body change and learning how my baby is every step of the way. I will just share my experience with you and hope it help. I had short breath too it's normal because your blood flow more and I also had congestion called rhinitis of pregnancy through out my whole pregnancy so keep that in mind that might be it too. Morning sickness I don't called my bad at all I had it from 7-12 weeks of pregnancy, extreme jealous 😅, I cannot stand being hungry so keep little snack in your purse will help, smell: every single car in my family literally get cleared and cannot have any smell. I guess I learned what my baby like and don't like after that so I know what to do and expect after.

I just have an open mind about everything and basically Learn as you go. Listen to your body and your baby, your body will tell you what your baby like and don't like. It's an experience that you yourself can only understand and have to experience it. Good luck and don't worry too much about the weight I gained roughly 25lbs and my baby weighed 8 lbs 5 oz 21inches. For my sister she have same height with you same weight too she only gained 19 lbs through out her pregnancy and her baby was 6 lbs. Drink water, takes your vitamins, eat right and your good. You will be a great Mom, good luck with everything, and have a safe and healthy pregnancy.

Congrats again. I have gone through two pregnancies already. The only thing you can do is just relax, get plenty of rests, eat healthy and drink lots of liquids.Yes if light exercises help you with back pains and fatigue, that's great. It's also important that you probably may want to sleep as much as you can because your body is starting to change as you go through the pregnancy for the entire 9 months. Yes, you will feel a lot tired and exhausted and emotional because you may be going through some hormonal changes. As far as morning sickness, it's different for all women. But I know for my first pregnancy, I only threw up once and after all I didn't have any morning sickness. I did realize that taking the prenatal vitamins have probably prevented me from morning sickness. As for my second one, I didn't get morning sickness, but did have a lot of heart burn so I avoided eating deep fried and spicy foods. Also make sure you have a good OB doctor who is attentive and caring. I had a very good doctor for my first and she did a great job with taking care of me. But I didn't have a good experience with my second OB doctor because I felt I like she was just rushing through appointments and was not very attentive. I pretty much had to remind her every details with my pregnancy and that's not what you want. Anyhow, hope this will help you and please just listen to yourself and do what's best for you. Please do not let others tell what you should do or listen to some superstitious comments as we Asians may be superstitious sometimes. Good Luck. Keep us updated.

Congratulations on the pregnancy! I've been watching your channel(s) for the past (maybe) 3-4 years??? and I'm a mommy of three little guys soooo I'd been living vicariously through KZfaq makeup and fashion gurus like yourself and feeling/thinking "Gosh, too bad I'm a frumpy mommy and can't be beautiful like these girls😞" I always felt like there is little I can relate to with these ladies *sigh* BUT! It's actually fun to see and hear about the fun, crazy, emotional, out-of-your-control things that happen when you become preggos and have babies! I can relate now and I'm wishing I could chat because this is truly the best and craziest time of your life! Get ready to have your world rocked Mami cuz things will never be the same😜. But it's gonna be a fun ride, truly😏. I can't wait for you to share! (P.S. My three are 7, 6, and 2 and everyday there is still new stuff to experience!) Thank you for sharing ❤️

I am happy for you and your husband upon hearing you guys are expecting. Funny cause my husband had all the symptoms at the start of pregnancy and I was feeling normal until my 7th week I started feeling sick all day but after 3 weeks it went away. I am on my 35 weeks now and just waiting for her to come out. I hope that you would have a great experience all throughout. Goodluck on your pregnancy. Always take care of yourself.

My mom was 79 pounds when she got pregnant with me :) Sometimes she gets on my case for being 82 pounds but then I tell her that I weigh heavier than her when she was my age lol! I definitely relate with you on the whole weight issue. I get so self-conscious whenever it comes to weight because people judge. I eat a lot, and I get some stomach chubs if all I eat is fast food but once I start regularly eating healthy foods, it sheds right off and I'm back to my 82. The only time that the weight sticks for awhile is if I build muscle :)

I was the same as you, I could not get warm for beans and my 1st and 2nd trimesters were during warm months. I would literally crank the fireplace up to its maximum setting. Don't worry about your figure, some of the most curvy women have had problems where women such as yourself have not and vis versa. JUST ENJOY THIS TIME. It is the best time EVER!!!

Hi Jen...Congratulations :) Im on my 25th week of pregnancy for my 2nd child and I feel fantastic...Yes, being a first time mom can be very scary and I did alot of research too (I was overly paranoid). Take it easy and try not to think too much...stress can add up to your anxiety and please take as much rest as you can. cheers! :)

I was very hot with my 1st pregnancy. However, I'm at 13 weeks of my 2nd pregnancy and I have been really cold as well. My best advice is please please sleep a lot. I have insomnia with this 2nd pregnancy and I think that's what causes my morning sickness to be so terrible this time. I didn't have any sickness with my first one. Good luck to you!

Don't worry about weight and weight gain as long as your dr says your fine and baby's growing normally!! I only gained 15 lbs total (had gestational diabetes) but baby was fine! Weighed 7.5 lbs comming out (so I was back to prep regnant weight like in a minute - a definite plus!!). One tip is to rub cocoa butter on your tummy gently every night (or some equivalent) to help prevent stretching!! I know it's mostly genetics...but so many people swore by it...I did it and didn't get any stretch marks either. Not sure if it was the nightly cocoa butter or genetics... But couldn't help!!! And don't scratch when your belly gets itchy!!

I'm not as short as you I'm 5'2. But I'm the same way with weight. I've been the same weight forever. So I was 84lbs when I got pregnant. I'm sure you are going to be just fine. Morning sickness was the worst for me though. My first trim was all day sickness. Wishing you the best
