ITS FINALLY DONE! In today's video we finish wrapping up the manual swap on my IS300 and take it for it's FIRST DRIVE! This would've never been possible without Jeremiah's help. That's amazing dude, no check engine light or issues...orrr tell the truuutttthhhh you edited out the issues ! 😉 just do yourself a favor and swap in a stronger tranny once you motor swap or turbo it otherwise it'll grenade on you hella quick

Static Garage bummer yeah same mine is open. But I also wanna do the same swap with the brz or frs diff bc there basically plug and play but I heard that causes the car to be reving higher when driving bc of the gear ratio being a lot higher. Don’t wanna be driving down the highway reving at like 3.5k 4K lol. But it would be a great video and I’m looking forward to it and if it’s good then I’ll do it too.

You can definitely boost without a check engine light or other lights.. It’s all about your setup.

Think he's implying the strength of it. I've had 3 friends who manual swapped a W55. First one 1j swapped it blew up first day. 2nd one turbo'd his IS ans built it for it and it blew up in 4 days. 3rd one he had an LS swap and it gave problems first few days and blew up at weeks end. None of them took it to the track or were running anything other then 6-8 lbs of boost, they're just incredibly weak trannys for some reason. W58 is a little stronger but R-154, T-56, CD09 (my current build) will handle more power easy especially the latter 2.
