Seriously. Impressive driving, great camera / audio, and incredible performance. After QE 09-12, the plandemic, the oz of gold something costs is an easier metric (to eliminate inflation). My '97 Supra was $47,547 (after the $10k price drop), and at $330 an oz, that's 144 oz. That ZO7 with FAR more performance would cost 65 ounces today. (just a thought)

That isn't the interior sound, there's a mic strapped right next to the exhaust. Surprised you couldn't tell lol it was very obvious.

@@biggiesmalls7939 Oh you're so right! I did see the microphone duck taped to the asshole of the car from the external video shots. It was one of those CNN news mics with the big foam cover on it that looks like a BBC but it had the black wireless transmitter box on the non business end that looked like a square ballsack. Thanx for correcting my audible stupidity.

Dude, I'll have to admit I've watched several of your videos of your commentary on cars and I thought you were just a regular car fan... but after this video i realize you're a legit track guy with some serious track skills! Great Video bud! Also if you need more content you should make a new video side-by-side and do an in-depth analysis of the Lap times between the base and Z07 package. (Cornering speeds, braking zones, etc.) That would be interesting to see.

It seems like despite typical FPC characteristics this thing has some good mid range torque! It likes the revs, but doesn't have to be in screaming to still move you adequately. A great asset on the track coming from the largest displacement FPC ever.

I'm thinking the new Z06 is going to change the "super car" market for ever. The Z07 varient looks especially buttoned down. I honestly can't believe Chevrolet was able to pull off such a radical platform change, so successfully in just the introductory year.

Love the intake sound, the technology in the manifold almost makes it sound like there’s boost. Sounds like the throttle is super responsive. That motor absolutely screams! I’m sure the gearing makes the car super fun. Oh to drive these vehicles at their limits, how they ought to be. I find even in my little STI that the streets just don’t allow us to truly appreciate the potential of our vehicles. Thanks for the POV

That spec he was tracking is going for like 170k. Still a fraction of the price of what you would pay for the European counterpart which would be the GT3 RS, AMG GT Black series or the Mclaren Artura

@@gordydexter2615 When I say "straight-piped" I'm not simply talking about the exhaust system. I mean, from headers back. Removing catalytic converters is HUGE volume increase, as well as it definately will not pass emissions tests. I delete the cats on all of my sports cars, and it's night and day difference in sound. There is absolutely no way any manufacturer would "straight-pipe" a car, as it would require replacing the cats with bypass pipes. High-flow cats are a middle ground, but still nothing compared to full cat delete (I've done that too). 😁
