This is a major issue of Himalayan. I had a same issue in my Himalayan 411. In my case It was a decompression arm noise which is located on the camshaft. But in my case they couldn't find root cause and they replaced half engine.

I also too got the same issue, and the RE team changed the head of the engine, bt still am facing the same issue and got a new problems too, over heating and coolent leaking through the overflow pipe

Ask them to do an indepth inspection, also check Chain tensioners, my sound is back to normal post chain tensioner change. leakages would be due to the head replacement, they would have fucked with the gaskets.

Hi I had similar issue with my HIM 452. The issue started with engine being stalled and with loud noises similar to your's. After few restarts the issue actualy resolved own its own and now the service centre is not able to recreate the same ... Did your engine stall during the time ?

Twice my engine stalled, this is a engine chain tensioner issue, please get it checked, it will be replaced under warranty free of cost

Loved ur channel n subscribed to it too. I just love the design flow of the bike without the rear rack. I don't know if I am asking too much but can u just post a video of ur bike without the front fender too, I am not a huge fan of that beak actually. Thank you.

The weight will eventually increase once i add a Crash guard, Knuckle guard, Bash plate, Pannier Stays and Top Box Plate, His is Purpose build, ours is like take it everywhere

@@prtvgoa my bike doesn't sound like this always, only when the engine is heated up and the ignition is turned off and after I start the bike this sound comes. It's not consistently coming but it has happened once. RE service centre guys are telling that since ignition will be turned off and oil will settle down this sound comes, and suggested me not to turn off the ignition when the engine is hot

The bike sounds like this only, if you’ll check other 450’s around, I think thats the nature of that engine….so if i compare to the regular usual sound the issue is resolved. I admit, The morning sound is different but once you ride it and rev the engine it tends to get some what moisy

"I too witnessed a tick sound from front suspension when we suddenly stops the vechile, when the front suspension activates.." pls check in ur machine as well.. we saw the sound in 3 bikes out of 4 when we went for a ride... @@user-um7ly1ub8l It will a great update, See Problems will be there in the bikes after all its a machine, important part is company or dealer provides solutions to it, and as of now there’s full cooperation from RE team, I would say check for dealers service and thn go for it, Its a great update.

its the Same, we do get some Vibrations but not too evident like other REs, a 5k Service shall make some difference thats what i think, lets see

All single cylinder engines will give some vibrations.. simply ride the bike. 😊

KTM 390 adv being single cylinder doesn’t vibrate, this vibrates like tractor after 95km/hr speed, feeling disappointed by the purchase in this regard !!!

@@satishshanm4847 I don’t think you’ve tried Adv 390 Riding it more than 4 years and it does vibrate a lot if you ride without gloves around 4000-5000 rpm that’s not bearable for longer ride. Even with Gloves it does feels a lot but I get used to it😅 Don’t spread fake news

If its same and not persistent and comes up and goes off after some time and then keep coming back then its Engine Chain Tensioner Issue, replace it

The Royal Enfield Garage Cafe Goa service is the terrible. Over the course of 5 years I’ve had many jobs done on my bike (interceptor) cables changed (routed wrongly) lockset changed (came loose in a few days) brake fluid leaked out and damaged the paint as they overfilled the reservoir and didn’t secure the cover. They faked setting the valve clearances (had it checked myself to confirm) They initially denied the cone-set issue till RE sent a directive to all workshops to rectify the wobble issue. Every job had a to either be redone yourself or have to make multiple visits to get done right. Bad service is the reason I’m not buying the 2024 Himalayan and getting a Triumph Scrambler 400X instead

If you have taken the test ride and if you have liked it then go ahead and buy it, Engine issues with this bike is unpredictable but i believe its woth a try, I have done 2200kms till date, besides Chain Tensioner issue I have had no problem with the Bike, Ride it between 4500-6000 RPMs for first 1000 to 2000 kms and it should be fine, With my bike One of my friend Wringed the throttle to its max RPM for all the gears just to get the feel of the acceleration and gear top end and i think that caused the issue and he did it twice and post 2-3days the sound started, but from the day it got fixed i have done approx 300kms and it just working fine I have done city commutes and its behaving in its character, If you Like it, Get it and Start your adventure 🏍️🏍️

The good part is as of now we havent come across any major issues reported by anyone till date, Yes we will keep having small niggles but i think we can take care of those issues. The reason i asked about your excitement is fir same reason if you can take that risk of small issues go ahead and buy but if you want an error or problem free bike then there is no such bike but yes if you wanna play safe thn wait for next batch…

Even though all the Himalayan 450 engines are same, some engines work very well and a small percentage of engines not work well. Not just Himalayan 450 all other Royal Enfield engines are some work extremely well and some not work well. Agree or disagree?

Currently I dont have any issue, its been smooth post replacement of Engine chain tensioner, for low end torque ill be going with FuelX, i dont think post that ill have to look anywhere else

@@prtvgoa Yeah I hope so, My delivery is two months from now. I hope more issues will be sorted out by then. The sales men said it's already the third batch. Only 3-5 bikes arrive at the dealership cause they are internally rejecting lot of bad models from the production line itself. He showed a brand new one just unboxed and it felt smooth and engine noises were really low. But I think the issues will creep up after 2-3K km. For the brake sounds, they said nothing can be done, it's a fault with the pad material type and has to deal with it.

That(poor engineering of RE) is a fact that no matter how much ever one is in love with RE, one can't condone it. I've nothing against RE lovers but only against those with a closed mind.

@@giridhars4821could not agree more. Somehow every thing that goes wrong with an RE bike is accepted as an experience of owning a bike. No it's not. There are much better alternatives to RE in the Indian market riders. Look elsewhere and you will see that RE always has been about selling a lifestyle. People who extensively tour and care about the machine they ride will rarely pick an RE.

It was there in my bike, took it to workshop the tighten the t bar with 90nm of torque , 1500 on off road clocked afte that didn't came back

@@jaipuriteujjwal7947 its just a torque wrench it should be with them and it takes just 5 minutes , if service center guys are not getting it done , a bit of anger can work too 😝😝😝😝 because that is just a basic torque wrench that is avilable with car service centers etc my dealer is a Hyundai dealer too so the service center got it easily but it shouldn't be tough to get one just tell them why should suffer or mail to HO or tweet and tag Sid lal ( this works a lot 🤣)

I was waiting for the bike for almost 2 years bro, I was already sold, not because of Motovloggers but because of pure Joy which Old Gen Himalayan 411 gave.
