First ever landing gear replacement | Airbus A380 | Emirates Airline

Emirates Engineering has successfully accomplished the first complete replacement of landing gear systems on an Airbus A380, the world's largest commercial aircraft.
Comprising five sets of landing gear - two under the wings, two under the body, and one nose landing gear, the work was planned and executed in-house, at the Emirates Engineering hangars in Dubai.

I'm still waiting for the engine refurbishment tutorial. My A380 has an engine which has a greyish smoke trail behind it and I'm worried that might be a bad thing. Idk tho, waiting for tutorial.

Not only that but then they compare the weight to something that no one knows the weight of. If I have to look up the weight of an african bush elephant then the comparison is useless. How about comparing it to the weight of a normal car or something that people are familiar with? A video about the weight of an elephant would be longer than this video.

Wow this has come on a lot since my days in the RAF in the 70’s replacing undercarriages on VC 10’s! In those days it was ALL blood sweat and tears with only manual jacks to lift the undercarriage and then ‘hand balling’ it into position to fit the pivot pin 😩 Took us 7 days to change ONE LEG!
