I love them bikes. I had a 1999 R6 just like that with the polished frame and D&D pipe. Then I bought an 2003 R1. Enjoy it my brother.

Fact check, The Yamaha R1 was carb fed from 98 through to 2001. Went fuel injection from 02 onwards. Owned my 2001 R1 for 18 yrs , she's a keeper. Not over keen on all the chrome on yours , but if it makes ya smile then all is good 👍🇬🇧

I rode my 98 for over 20 years. But my new/used 05 is even better.

You're big looks good. I have a R1 As well. All custom. I did chrome plating for twenty years. quit fix on your peeling On the rear rim. Furnace chrome tape. Temporary fix.👍 You won't even notice it.

You get more money for an orignal bike now adays. the White and red bike sells for more in the UK. The polished frame and wheels can be put back to standard as well. Nice bike I have the same but all orignal.

Mine the engine is apart in the livingroom . Fixing the transmission it was jumpin outta gear in 2nd when you try to pull it for a wheelie.

If you hadn’t of chromed it all , it would of had some value still
