Platinum spark plugs and spark plug wires can last up to 100K miles. The distributor cap and rotor should be replaced every 40K miles.
1994-1997 RAV4 have a distributor.
1998-2000 RAV4 have 2 coil packs.

Do old wires and distributor cap effect bad fuel consumption??even without a misfire.?

Yes, they can. Inspect the distributor cap and replace it if you see too much pitting or corrosion. Also check those spark plugs! Ignition wires can last 20 years. If they're original, definitely replace them. If they're only a few years old they're probably still good.

@@atnamesarelame I just wanted a video. The distributor cap, wires, and rotor are all from Autozone. They're aftermarket but work just fine. I took them out, looked at them, then put them back in the car.

@@atnamesarelame Out of problems? hahaha I wish. My car still has a rusted out subframe under the engine causing the suspension to clunk, and the clutch is slipping. More videos coming soon.
