The first harvest of self-grafted durian fruit is 4 years old when grafted and planted 3 years old. With intensive care, durian trees can bear fruit 3 years after planting. However, don't force small durian trees to bear too much fruit because this will disrupt growth in the future. Even though the flowers are abundant and there will be lots of fruit, we must be willing to reduce the durian fruit. Apart from keeping the durian tree growing well, by reducing the fruit, the size and taste of the fruit will be maximized. During its generative period, this durian tree is only fertilized using fruit-stimulating liquid organic fertilizer which is of course more environmentally friendly. With proper fruit enlargement fertilization, the durian fruit can reach maximum weight and have the characteristic sweet taste of Bawor durian even when it falls in the rainy season. Bawor durian is a native Indonesian durian originating from Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province. The Bawor durian is characterized by its large size, thick flesh, thin seeds, sweet, slightly bitter taste, fluffier and orange flesh. Bawor durian is widely planted in Indonesia as a competitor to Montong durian. Many durian farmers have planted Bawor durian, especially in the Banyumas area where this durian originates. Followed by Banjarnegara, Purbalingga and other areas. Many Bawor durian gardens have been found in Indonesia. Because the Bawor durian tree is a durian tree that is very adaptable to the environment where it is planted and is proven to be easy to care for. The average weight of a Bawor durian is between 4-5 kg, although many Bawor durians weigh more than 7 kg. With proper and correct care, the Bawor durian is able to bear fruit 3-5 years after planting.
