This seems to be easy, when in fact it is not. GPI gathered the best team to achieve this. Renca's presentation at 10:24 is very informative of all the challenges.

I thought it was easy!!! Thank you for sharing everything. Now I understand why so many are failing to succeed. Great job.

It wasn't at all )))) Thanks to joint efforts and support from Geopolymer Institute we have managed to reach this.

Great video!! Thanks for sharing this epic tech. I'm from Comoros Island in East Africa, been studying geopolymer science from the book by J. Davidovits and I'm now using termite hills soil (50%), DE (12.5%), Hydrated lime (12.5%) and burnt brick powder (25%) Alkali activated to make Roof and wall tiles and soon planning to make interlocking bricks. Thanks for the inventor of this good technology. This will enable affordable housing in Africa!

I'm very surprised that Dunn dismissed the geopolymer concept as conceivable to explain any of the ancient structures. Especially Tiwanaku.

The Bosnian Pyramids have huge slabs of seemingly purposely constructed geopolymer. It's cracked in places. Perhaps too permeable for water, and obviously not armed with rebar or other long fibres.

@@Cloxxki the bosnian pyramids are naturally occurring geologic structures, also known as 'mountains', or 'hills', and are NOT manmade.

because its very easy to test the material to know whether it is something manmade, or not.

@@xisotopex : both in Cairo and Peru blocks were tested and no question they found artificial stone. Davidovits has documented this thoroughly

Have there been tests with long fibres in the mix or between layers of print? Maybe hemp or the like might allow for less volume and getting the same properties? I could also imagine for instance a few strong filaments to be part of the print.

I can also imagine a netting person being added right after the print nozzle pass. A smart knitting method would add vertical fibre connection.

Short fibers have been used. Natural fibers like hemp, flax, cotton do work very well in a geopolymer system.

That is possible, but normally long fibers are used to increase flexural strength at higher dosages. We have used 6 mm PVA fibers to compensate a tiny surface shrinkage that could occur.
