Today I will be reviewing a foundation that people either seem to LOVE or HATE! While doing a first impression review, I'll give you my honest opinions on why foundation wearers feel the way they do about this drugstore foundation.

Thanks Nicole! 🤗 You mentioned once something about SPF in foundation...is that the reason why it takes longer to get certain foundations to Australia? I know different countries have different laws about SPF... I just want to make sure that I include foundations you have there too! ❤️ I appreciate you watching, so much!

😊 Thanks so much Pat, and I'm SO glad you mentioned the balm. I just filmed a review for it yesterday, and it worked really well for me. But I would love your input! ❤️ I like to give viewers a well-rounded review, and if you don't mind, I'd love to know what it was about the balm that didn't work for you. (Was it the overall texture? color? I did find the colors to run a bit orange...) No worries if you prefer not to answer, I just trust your opinion after our chats on here, and I don't want to lead the viewers astray with a fully positive review if there are some warnings I can give them, before they purchase! It was very shiny. Sat on top of my skin. Broke up. I powered and I don’t usually powder. I did wear a mask but I wear masks frequently at work and most of my foundations don’t wear this bad. This completely wore off my nose. I even tried a primer… same. I don’t know if it was orangey or oxidized. Wasn’t the best color for sure. Not worth the 12.97 for me. I really wanted to like this!!! Sadly… returning. I’m Normal to Dry skin. I wear Wet and Wild tinted moisturizer, L’Oréal Age Perfect Radiant serum, Estée Lauder Futurist, Zoeva, Believe, Joah Primedation. …. Just to give an idea of what works on me.

Thank you for the review! I was wondering if you would consider testing the new CC+ nude glow from IT cosmetics. I’ve been using the original CC cream for a longtime, but I would really like your thoughts on it before I try the new one.

Hey Jenny, some reviews I looked at said this was glittery. Is your impression of it glittery, as in glitter in it? Or just luminous? Thank you for the review!

That is a GREAT question! I didn't see any glitter or "sparkles" in it per se, it's just the fact that it is ULTRA dewy, so when the light hits it (especially before it's had a chance to dry down) it makes your skin look very shiny... and I mean, even the tiniest bit of light reflects off of it. But the dewiness did settle down quite a bit after the 10 minute mark, and then just looked like "soft dewy" skin. But I did not see any type of shimmer in it. I really wanted to like this. But now that I’ve seen how you applied this I think I need to go back and use more product. I was disappointed at the coverage level. I got the lightest shade because I’m so fair but wonder if I should go a shade up for a little more color. I used it as a primer and didn’t really like it. I’ll give it another try!

Hi Laura! I can totally understand your disappointment...this one was really tricky for me. When I put on one layer it felt too light, but when I put on two, it got a little bit "shiny." I was so relieved when the dewiness settled down a bit (after the 10 minute mark.) If you do end up trying it again, I'd love to hear your take on it! 😊 Have a great weekend! 🌸

Btw: I looked it up and this has VG ingredients such as glycerin and shea butter - no fragrance. Why I was interested is to add some glow to be used like a primer (1 light coat) than continue. I have mature, dry sensitive skin. Am debating. I was in local CVS today where there was a generous supply of Maybelline but NOT this one. Oh well. I do like their rewind concealer. Have been noticing in local stores that makeup products seem to be old stock in many brands for some time now.

Hi Diane! 🤗Yes! I completely agree with you on the idea of using it underneath as a "glow" primer! In fact after I made the video, I found myself wishing I had tried it that way instead. But it is super moisturizing, and I can imagine would feel (and hopefully also look) great when used underneath foundation! 😍❤

Hi Jenny, well that's a surprising dupe! I tried a sample of the Chanel once, not expecting very much of it, but to my surprise I actually liked it. Not enough to purchase a full size, but still. This one looked nice on you. But the advertising confuses me a bit. How can it be four such different things? 🧐 I agree that it gets harder with age to find the perfect finish. Too matte looks dry, too dewy accentuates wrinkles. May I ask you about your age? You don't have to answer if you consider it inappropriate.

Hi Marielle 🌸 I'm in my early 40's! 🥰 (Just celebrated my birthday a couple of weeks ago, in fact!) 😊 And I completely agree with you on the advertising for this one... in fact I wonder if they would've had more success with this one if they'd advertised it as a "tint" or a "tinted moisturizer"... because that's what this really feels like to me. I don't think it's a bad product, I just think that the wording gives people the wrong expectation when they're purchasing it. (Especially because we can't try on drugstore makeup before purchasing.) Speaking of Chanel... Do you remember which Chanel foundation it was? If you happen to remember the name, I'd love to know! ❤️

Hi Belinda! Thanks again for watching! ❤️ I completely agree, I finally got to a "good" place with this one, but I have other foundations that are the same level of coverage (light) that I prefer over this one. 🌸
