Interesting! I had no idea about the earth, moon, mars version from Omega either! The sub dials...well, they could be worse I am sure haha, but the finishing on the case and bracelet looks decent. At a distance yeah I think it looks great! Great meccaquartz movement and sapphire glass at that price. I think the gap on the clasp was a bit of a bummer tho. Thanks for the shoutout Chris! Thanks pal! I’m not 💯 that I’m the first but I couldn’t find a vid on it when I did a search. The gap at the clasp isn’t that bad I don’t think but I’ll have to re look. I think I may end up flipping this one as I was able to get it with commish from affiliate links. This brand is so new that my link generator wouldn’t give me a trackable link for this one

This is the first heard of the brand. Not a bad looking watch. I used the link you provided and they have other variations that realy nice. The price is very reasonable. I put one in my shopping basket on ali. Thanks for the review.

Thanks James that pilot watch is absolutely incredible. Right now it is listed at only $125 Canadian and for the specs that you get with that and the finishing on the case is really good for the price to. I think it is definitely one of the best value automatics on AliExpress for sure.

For $60 it looks terrific. The dial and subs don't look any worse then the original, at least in the video.

When you first opened the box I thought you had one of those dreadful Swan & Edgar watches 😂 They do something similar. Decent movement inside, other than that seems like pretty standard Ali express stuff 😊

Pretty standard indeed m8, this is why my under 100 watch isn’t going to come from Ali although I really did ponder whether to put the addies dive pilot I had on for this review up for it, it’s a spec monster

Hey Mirrly keep up the great work. The watch itself is great but the sub dials are a miss, maybe if they soften the colours a bit it would be better. The sub-dials are very hard to read except for mars.

Thanks friend! Yeah, I think using an actual photo image for the subdials would have been better but either way they would sacrifice legibility in the subdials because of that for sure, which given the design I suppose I can forgive but you gotta get the image right. If you were to show someone the moon subdial for example, isolated from the rest mu guess is very few would say “oh cool it’s the moon.”

Indeed Chris, I wasn't aware of this version of the Speedmaster. I would guess that simpler subdial designs would look better in the budget range. The fancier the subdials get, the more expensive they become to pull off imho. One thing that quite a few homages of the Speedy get wrong is the hand and index set. If you have a black dial Speedmaster, the indices MUST be pure white. They look so much better than the metal framed ones and really convey the fact that the Speedmaster is a tool watch before anything else. Having any shiny metal or chrome on the dial of a Speedmaster lookalike is somehow suboptimal in my opinion. Heck, I am not even sure if I would have preferred Omega to have a white painted logo on the dial of the Professional instead of the applied logo. Another thing that is a bit off on this model is the side profile of the case. The real thing has an interesting shape to the brushed side, the center of which is basically horizontal, not slightly curved like on the S&S, with the polished chamfer thinning out above it. That looks quite a bit better. Also the flat part on the side profile of the bezel of the S&S is quite a bit thicker than on the Speedy. Lastly, compared to the Speedy, the tachymeter font is very thick on the S&S, not exactly sure why. There is nothing to complain about with the movement of this watch (well ok, the sort of useless 24 hr subdial). I think they would've had a much nicer watch if they stuck to pure white hands and indices. How does the bracelet feel Chris? It does look a bit like the new (since 2021 or early 2022) Speedmaster bracelet. I can tell you that bracelet is ridiculously comfortable and beautifully designed, from the pin system to the tool-less microadjust to the ridiculously beautiful taper (I am not even sure how much it tapers, I think from 20mm to 15mm).

Hey Andrei….good point about the indices and I can only surmise that they added a bit of metal polished indices to differentiate it enough from the original? And as far as the subdials go I checked the omega and even the moon on it at a glance looks a bit rubbish to me. An actual image (photograph) of the moon, earth and mars would have been completely do able and would have looked awesome, I’m going to find my own and shrink them down and superimpose them on the watch during my review of this one. The bracelet on this is ok. It passes at a 6-10, but there is a bit of side to side play and if worn a little loose on wrist will pull hair, in fact I did have a couple minor tweaks while wearing this one even though I was able to get a snug fit.

@@MirrlyonTime Haha, fair point Chris. I am also not super convinced about the Omega version with the Earth, Moon and Mars subdials. I think one needs to see it in person to really note how decent it looks. Maybe you are right with the metal indices. I think Pagani also have a version that started off with metal indices and hands.

Definitely looks good from a distance and the regular looking speedy homage would be a good piece by this brand. I wanted to go with something a bit diff and also noticed that no other KZfaqr has this model featured

Very good movement blue only weakness is the 24 hour sub dial. I really don’t like the 24 hour sub dial but with that movement you either put it on or keep it off but that’s what it comes with.

The sub duals just didn’t do it for me. They don’t look as good as what is on the picture on the AliExpress site they aren’t awful, but they aren’t great either. Somewhere in between thanks 62.

Yeah, to be fair I looked at the omega pic again and it doesn’t exactly do it for me either with the subdials esp the moon, but I do like the look of this watch
