In this video we are getting our first impressions of Chiang Rai, Thailand!
We started off our day traveling from Pai to Chiang Rai by catching a mini-van to Chiang Mai. We then transferred to the GreenBus for the remainder of the journey to Chiang Rai. It was a comfortable and easy journey and we can definitely recommend it.
We immediately rented a scooter in town and as soon as it stopped raining we headed to the jungle. Our mission was to find this hike (that we had read about online) that lead to a massive waterfall. We found the jungle, the hike, the waterfall, and about a million bugs 😂 .
The stunning untouched nature that was right outside of the city limits was so surprising to us and we felt lucky to have experienced it!

On such journey into the Woods, fighting Mosquito N Leech is a real task. I had been many times to such Deep jungle travels, to virgin Falls, scary woods where surrounding noise were only Forest noise, sometimes spine chilling sounds. Now in retrospect, it looks so beautiful.

Hello, I'm a Thai person who follows you. ,I would like to recommend you to travel to Chanthaburi. , that has a long history ,Is an old city in the eastern part of Thailand, most importantly, it has beautiful nature, both mountains and the sea. ,In the city there is an old town by the river, hope you can see my message, and see you travel to many places around Thailand.🤟🏻🔥❤️

Your production is good like in the cinema. That is different from other youtubers. Actually there are cafes in other provinces that have cute dogs and cats also have cakes and coffee. So they can play and enjoy with them 😊

Yes before the COVID-19, cat cafe gone now. It will come back, university kids like it. Nice video I am sitting up in my double condo have to get up because cold in bed. Get circulating 13 degrees Celsius no bugs 5 in the morning no bugs nice Xmas sweater on the balcony reminds me of home in Northern Canada that's why I picked it. Very nice video khop Khun khap.🤠

@@SammyandTommy Been more times than I can count but normally stay Bangkok and Chiang Mai .. this trip will be travelling to a few different provinces all over Thailand ... but will also be spending a lot of time in Chiang Mai as well. Will be good to get back after 2 years of no travel.

Just a reminder for you. If it is rainy season, don't visit waterfalls as it is very dangerous.. flashflood is powerful and swift. Locals don't go to waterfalls in rainy season.. But this time, rainy season in the North has gone. More rains in southern Thailand. So be careful if u go south. A little tip is that when u are in waterfall. If clear stream water turn muddy, it is a natural warning that flashflood will come very soon. So u have to leave the area instantly. Enjoy..

Ignoring all the rain, do you guys like northern Thailand or southern Thailand better? We did the whole Phuket area in 2018 and really liked it but definitely want to try the north next time. Seems much more authentic up that way.

It all depends what you're looking for! Both offer fantastic but very different travel options. Gotta visit them both 👍 I would agree it's easier to find more authenticty the further you get from the tourist crowds.

4:51 Majority of Thai people: How dare you!? Cats are our master and we live to SERVE! In all seriousness Thai people are very fond of cats. There are many who would call themselves ทาสแมว (cat slave). I count myself as one too. 😺 Slave because that's practically what humans are to cats. Cats always does whatever they want and they don't care if it's annoys us and they'll stay or leave whenever they want and they'll agressively Meow at you if they're hungry. Reject humanity r̶e̶t̶u̶r̶n̶ t̶o̶ m̶o̶n̶k̶e̶ serve the felines.

Joe and Jane do set an awesome example! It’s hard not to follow in their footsteps. We could of used a script for this video no doubt! I think a lot of people travel to Thailand because of how affordable it is, how friendly and kind the people are, and how delicious the food is! Keeps me coming back!
