STORY: PM MODI visited Lakshwadweep a few days back and posted some beautiful pictures and encouraged indians to visit it since it's the part of our country. some ministers of the maldives government got panicked that now indians will visit lakshwadweep and not maldive{according to a report maldives had most tourists from india} 3 ministers of the maldives government used inappropriate words for prime minister modi and indians saying they are dirty and smelly etc. so indians started boycotting maldives and rather promoted tourism in lakshwadweep. Major celebrities and film stars also came in support .

We have better places/islands in India Andaman & Nicobar Islands And Laxadweep one in Bay of Bengal another one is in Arabian sea. Both are heavenly and have been voted some of the best beaches in Asia and world.

Thanks for reacting. Basically, PM Modi posted pictures recently on his visit to Lakshadweep and encouraged people to visit. He used to promote tourism even back when he was chief minister of Gujarat. However, this time some young cabinet ministers of Maldives made derogatory comments on India and Indians and how they smell, even mocked our tourism infrastructure though India has some of the best hotels in the world. As a consequence of their comments, those ministers got suspended. Also, thousands of bookings from India for Maldives got cancelled. Bollywood stars came in support too and began promoting Lakshadweep. Tata Group is in the process of building luxury resorts and infrastructure on these islands. Even reports of Israel wanting to help out refine the salt water there have come in.

Hi, Guys, Modiji had gone to lakshadweep ,He took a few pics and were posted, telling people in General to visit lakshadweep, & a few small time politicians from Maldives bad mouthed about modiji,india has helped Maldives and when ever they wanted,meds,lot of indian movies were made in Maldives ,so that they grow there tourism. Just within 24hrs, Maldives hotels,planes were cancelled and indians came up with the idea that were boycott Maldives.

It's not about Modi I care less about politicians, but Maldives is clearly bad here. They were also openly "racist" like saying they don't want Indians, Indians smell bad etc despite Indians are the largest to contribute in their tourist economy. They weren't trolls, they were sitting ministers in Maldivian gov. This happened days before they visited China implying they wanna get into Chinese camp leaving India or western camp when it comes to Indo pacific. Funny thing is Maldivians look just like us and belong to the same race.

Maldives is far too iconic for people to visit than Lakshwadweep. How many non indians know of Lakshwadweep (even many indians might not know about Lakshwadweep)? Some of PM Modi supporters might support just because of anger, but that's not the right reason to travel. Who travels to a place angrily? Relax and enjoy places you want to visit to stay happy and have fun

That's ur thoughts.many Indians who love to travel they know where is lakshadweep,cause in school we learned about our islands ,and the reasons is to travel Maldives is that few yrs ago Maldives was nothing just a small island with no tourists and that's why Indians helped u and to stand on ur own ,but u took it for like granted and forget ur place ,India have many beaches ,even before when Maldive was open to outside .so go learn the actual facts .and ofcourse we Indian willbe angry ,cause u Maldives people raise anti India slogans and even more u insulted our prime minister .before spitting from ur mouth think ur u stand in international level.😡🤬
