A few things for forgot to mention:
• All pants have a built in belt that is wonderful when carrying a pack compared to traditional belts that chafe and ride where you don’t want them. I still found that carrying a pistol was totally functional and comfortable without a regular belt. They do have loops for a normal belt too.
• I said armpit pockets, they aren’t pockets, but openings to allow heat to escape.
My whole system:
So far I’ve been in windy 20° to 75° and had comfort everywhere between. Have yet to use my zenith hoody as a layer since I haven’t been cold enough to add it.
• Army issue long underwear for legs. 2 parts that are equivalent to the Merino base layer and Helio from stone glacier
• M5 Jacket in grey
• M5 pant in coyote
• chinook merino l/s shirt
• avro synthetic s/l
• avro synthetic l/s x2
• zenith hoody in muskeg
• de havilland lite in muskeg x2
• Grumman lite down in Muskeg

Great vid, just picked up the M5 jacket in the same granite color, knocks the socks off the USMC stuff I got. I think the YT algorithm shot me over to ya. Quick question though, what boots are ya rocking? I'm up here in Michigan and if there's one thing we talk about as much as walleye is watching out for deer and gear lol. Take it easy fella.

I’m not even sure what I’m wearing in this video. I think they are a cheaper 400 gram Irish setter from cabelas. Lately I’ve been rocking the Zamberlan Lynx BOA for almost all of my hunts. They are pricy, but the quality is unmatched. They are technically uninsulated but I’ve worn them in 75° Antelope hunts to 9° elk hunts at 11,000 ft already and never was uncomfortable. I would say they’d be too cold for a treestand hunt if under 20-25°F. Thanks!
