I'm curious what your new air setup is going to be. I highly, HIGHLY recommend the MORRflate quad inflator/deflator. It's super compact (for what it is) and they use really high quality materials. It has changed airing up/down from being something I hated to only a minor annoyance.

Slappy happy through the whoops. Shock valving and speed will keep you on top of the whoops where need to be.

Can you do a follow up with the seat jackets? I’m 6’3 and I’m really curious on them cause the seat positioning on the truck are the worst

They are fantastic so far! My friend who filmed during this trip is 6’4 and actually did some driving in my truck. He fits even with the rear jackers and likes the front jackers since he has really long legs and they help give support. Hope this helps 🙂

@@EfLuis no prob! The front seat jackers don’t affect height at all since it just raises your legs and not your butt (and consequently, your head)

@@ChloeKuo thank you so much! I wasn’t going to order them because I’m literally 1 inch from touching the roof but this makes me feel more comfortable getting them. I also got the rear but I’ll probably just use the quarter inch to raise it

Those "dad" tyres are cool. I think they're called dad tyres because everyone's dad has them. Lol. I really like the black Toyota racing development wheels and I really like your modifications because it doesnt make the vehicle very complex and doesnt require you to do a lot of maintenance. I think a 2 inch lift would be nice but it could damage the CV lifespan and affect the steering. But still cool truck.

Very informative! I never had those mid travel shocks I went from stock, to Bilstein 5100s, to long travel lol. Would you be interested in a day trip? My friends have everything from stock trucks to long travel trucks you could follow us and see how rough the terrain is/what speed to take the whoops and also see how their mid travel setups work. All of our vehicles are driveway built too.

If you install a 2nd tire valve in your spare tire you will now have an approx. 10 gallon spare air tank. Attach your compressor to the 2nd valve of the spare tire with a hose that goes from the spare tire to the other tires.

So actually the reservoir doesn’t help with cooling all that much. It mainly just separates the oil and gas mixture making the shocks preform better. It may help with cooling a little bit but that’s not their main purpose. Awesome choice with fox though!

Awesome video. Wish I had some terrain like that on the east coast. Maybe consider fabricating or ordering a Chloe logo license plate that you could place over your real one with magnets or screws when recording. Totally understand the need to cover it 🤙

Yea bilstein shocks dont last as long and are prone to heating up and failing after some abuse in the "whoopsies".

I’ve looked into it. I think I’ve held back mostly I don’t love the fact that you have to replace it every couple of years/it yellows (and the price tag). It does make your vehicle look really good though! I’m not counting it out yet

@@ChloeKuo totally agree on the PPF thing . The major issue being it’s around $5-$6K for our trucks (can get a new paint job or even replace the entire panel for less). Ceramic coating though, I think, would be a good cheap option. Could be an excellent video for you to do! I’d watch it.

Good video over all, just get your shocks tuned and hit those whoops at twice the speed and it'll get worse until you break the threshold and all of a sudden it feels soft again cause you basically float over the whoops instead of hitting every dip and rise

Hi Chloe... I am taking delivery of a new Tacoma in February, and considering a spring leveling setup similar to yours. That brings me to two questions. 1. Did you eventually get the full 2" lift up from the 1.25" at install? and 2. were they able to get the alignment zero'd with the stock upper control arm? I'm just trying to get all the knowledge I can in order to make the right decision for me, on how to address this. Thanks...

Are these off the shelf shocks of did you go thru accutune and have them setup for your truck?

These are straight off the shelf and weren’t tuned by accutune. My Fox contact suggested I try them out of the box before getting them tuned, and I find that the dampening and ride quality off-road is phenomenal as is. It would be cool to compare accutune vs off the shelf though! 🙂

In this video they were stock, now I’m using Element billet aluminum ones. Alignments are easier now and they complement the suspension well!
