I've been using XH1 for 5 years now and really wanted the GFX50sii; what do you think of the AF? Is it really a super SLOW camera? I mainly use my camera for holidays 1-2times oversea trips.

Thank you very much! Yes I just noticed the ttartisan 90mm after I recorded the video. I will definitely give it a try. However I tried out the 65mm from a friend and it’s so heavy that I’m considering the 63mm 2.8 because I mostly carry the camera the whole day 😀

Hi! I used the nostalgic negative standard recipe on the images and the classic negative for the ultra wide shots. There are not too many recipes out for the gfx yet but as far as I read, everything that works for x trans 4 is supposed to work for the 50MP GFX. I will try that out next!

Hey! Unfortunately I can't find it anymore but I stumbled across a really good video that compared the GFX to a XT5 and the differences weren't huge. I think when compared side by side, the GFXs sensor will outperform the XT2 sensor but I'm not so sure that it would be a light and day difference. Especially when you have good glass on your XT2. So if I'd already was invested in a good lens ecosystem I would take a look at one of the 40MP XT-models. In my case it just was a fresh start from zero so I went for the GFX ecosystem :)

@@seb_steimel Thanks! that makes sense, yeah I already have a few old Fuji lenses. But I am also not sure if I want to get the new xt5 as I heard it is better to get those new Fuji f1.4 lens to pair with it.

You could consider a Nikon Zf if you like analog controls. I currently own a GFX 50R and a Nikon Zf and I had Fujifilm X cameras for many years before getting a Nikon again. There is a noticeable quality difference in the files between the full frame and aps-c Fujifilm especially when you get down to higher ISO (800 and up). Details just get muddy with the X-Series. The Nikon files are just cleaner and retains more details. And the Zf is just as fun as back when I had the X-T3, X-H1, and X-E4. Not to mention that the AF is just so good. The big advantage of the GFX though is dynamic range. It is amazing when I use it for weddings. But the Zf takes over when I need AF. The Zf has become my "everyday camera" too a it's just comparable to Fuji X bodies especially if you have to use equivalent lenses. One thing I liked about Fuji X though (especially the X-E4) is how great it is if you want photos to be gritty and feel like instant 35mm film. And then being able to quickly share the JPEGs to social media via your phone. But if you like tinkering with your photos, a step up in image quality, and good autofocus, going for a full frame like the Nikon Zf is something I'd consider over any of the GFX bodies. What the GFX offers more than full frame is the dynamic range and a unique look if you got the right lenses. The cons are the cost, lens selection, and general slowness.

Hi ​@@enshongmiranda I was doing portrait as hobby (manual lenses) for a long time already thinking to do my next move. I am tempted with both Nikon zf and Fujifilm 50s II (second hand). Since it is an important investment not sure yet what route should I take, probably I will take really good pictures with any of them but I am considering the long term including start doing paid jobs. Any advice? Thanks

I read somewhere that Sony patented a 240MP medium format sensor. If this is true their new flagship camera would be quite capable (and expensive haha)

I wish they would make cameras with decent evf and ui.
