Just rewatched this great play through! We finally got it off our Shelf of Opportunity and played 4 games back to back! My boys really love how the Flight action is executed. I also really like all the theming with the skill, tech and friend cards teaching us science and history! It’s a great way to also understand iterative designing. ❤ ✈️

Awesome Naveen. At 1:13:00 you busted the game! You just showed the designers that they need numbers higher than 45! Incredible flight! You played this game very intelligently.

Not usually the biggest fan of push your luck, but I like how it’s implemented here. As someone who studied innovation for my PhD, I think they have implemented it brilliantly - innovation is absolutely a process of trial and error and the whole idea of going on a flight because you want to find out what your design problems are so you can resolve them is just brilliant. I think Monique could possibly have got the win if she’d intentionally set out to find her major problems a bit sooner rather than just going for personal records, but it was a really exciting game! Definitely has you on the edge of the seat as the flight decks are being played. Great playthrough!

Theme got me on this one. My family is from NC and we used to visit Kitty Hawk on our trips to the beach at Outer Banks. I love the mechanics too! I think we have to get it. 😅

There are some really interesting ideas in this game. I think being at a lower price point compared to most KS games will help a lot.

I do enjoy a push your luck game, always a bit of fun, including the fails... I just backed the project, thanks to your teach and playthrough.

I'd already backed the game after watching Rahdo's playthrough, but this was good good to actually properly watch the interaction between players and to see the game through to its conclusion. Great playthrough and just reinforces my decision to back this. I love historical themes and one of my relatively recent KS games to arrive was Tinners Trail and I also backed Through Ice & Snow. This totally ticks all the boxes where the mechanics of the game really complement the theme. Nothing says push your luck more than being one of the first to test the power of flight!

Wow, the theme is awesome and it blends perfectly with the mechanics. One can see from your reactions that you are thrilled to pull every card in fear of hitting that last malfunctioning that would crash your plane! Fantastic review for a great game, thanks! At 22:07 and at 37:22 you removed a friend card for Gustav. The rules say he takes Technology cards over Friend cards.

This was really helpful. We are backing this one because it reminds us of El Dorado a little bit but with a very cool historical theme. :)

Maybe the experience card need to be redesign a bit : you people keep forgetting the +1, so maybe put a 1 next to or inside the thumb symbol?

I was sent here by the QR code on the box. The first thing they say is they've set it up for two players. Is there a video for more than two players. Most games are quite different at two, and they didn't say that this play would show how to play more than two.

Monique, it was bugging me how you didn’t do the skills in the other order-the skill you always took first has you reshuffle, which is great if you know the top card in your deck is a problem!

Gustav got "one last flight", so wouldnt he have moved to 24? not that it would have made a difference.

Darn it. I was swearing of crowdfunding for the time being, and I wasn't a fan of the designers previous games, but this is so smooth and looks so fun.... arrgh, sorry wallet.

This looks fun, but maybe suffers from the "the rich get richer" problem push your luck games tend to have. Altho having a succesfull flight in itself doesnt seem to do anything unless you have a character like Monique or pull Experience cards. Also, in the final flight of Naveen, was there any reason for him to stop? I guess a succesfull decent scores 3 more than a crash, but on average it might just be better to keep pushing. What happens is you crash before you decent?

It looks like a lot of fun. It’s push your luck first, deck building second to me, accessible and entertaining. I just don’t like the board in its current state. The cards have better artwork than that city in the middle.
