I have rented man lifts here on the farm and have had a couple of occasions when the thing quit while I was 40 to 45 feet in the air and I was by myself with no one around. On both occasions I had to climb and slide down, very sketchy at best. Fortunately the boom was configured in such a way I was able to climb and slid down. At times climbing as sliding down isn't an option. Since then I always take a sit harness, repelling device and repelling rope up in the basket with me to have an escape route, if needed. I don't know what options you have to get down if this machine stops while you are up in the air. If you need to get down prior to letting the basket down in case of an emergency stop, you might consider taking some repelling gear up with you, if working alone with no one around. Really like the looks of your new man lift. Nick, North West Farmer

The. Lifts are pretty sweet. I’m trying to buy one now. Middle of 24 is when it would come in if ordered today. So for the moment I’m stuck renting. Which means I’m struggling to use this dang JLG lift this week and paying through the nose to do so.

I just ordered a magnetic camera for the back when hooking up to the ball hitch. It will help from going in and out of the truck 6 times or more. They are a cool lift, I just smile every time I use mine.

Please get yourself a good quality harness. I know they’re not all that comfortable but a guy I know it’s been a long time now but got catapulted out of one of those things because he didn’t have a harness on. When he cut the tree branch a little breeze came through and slightly changed the direction that branch was falling one of the smaller branches on that bigger branch hook the edge of the basket the way to the branch pulled the basket down like a catapult and shot him up through the air out of the basket and kill him. I love watching your content on this channel it’s always been good content and you seem like really nice people and it would be awful to hear that something tragic like that happened to you

Mr. Tim not trying to rush a man, just a question. I see your travel lights are mounted to the bottom of the basket. Are they sturdy? What is your opinion on where they are mounted? Do you think they will survive a hit? Should the manufacturer look at a cage upgrade? How hard are they to replace if they take a hit? Again I know it's a new investment and not trying to be a hound dog. Me personally I would knock them around first time I used it. Thank you for your great videos!

Job performed mostly electric. As an arborist I get a lot of positive compliments for running battery saws. I would suspect using an electric lift and saws would have a lot more people say, "I want that guy to do my trees". Great video
