I love how KZfaq is recommending these again, it's a nostalgia trip hearing the old Alpha ambient sounds, zombies, and the old slow inventory system. I think some people forget how much the game has improved cause development felt so slow and half the updates immediately broke certain items or game mechanics while not fixing previous glitches, at a couple of points it was 95% unplayable, but it's honestly a lot smoother now.

yea when you played in alpha like 2014 you really appreciate how polished the game is now. I honestly did enjoy it back in 2014 even though there was only 2 main guns, zombies that can run through doors, and falling from 2 feet and breaking your legs. Good times.

I keep starving. Ive starved with five characters so far. I cant find any bloody food anywhere. :( I get loaded up on all kinds of stuff, weapons, ammo, backpack, outfit, etc. Just never any food. Not even in the supermarkets. its ridiculous. :(

Hi dude, Remember a simple DayZ tip: apples are your friend. Just head into smaller towns and pick apples from trees around the house front/back yards. Good luck, stay alive, avoid contact with other players.

Hey Frankie, just two things that might help you: 1. Your Gun was constantly on 100m Zeroing so that could have added to the inaccurate fire of your m4 ;) and 2. When you got the Fire Axe out and your Guys holds it right in front of his Face he will swing to the right instead of straight so make sure to press Space in that case so you hit your Targets ;)

The game now is a buggy mess, the game then was a buggy mess, this game is late by 4 years, the developers chose an awful engine and then the lead dev jumped ship after seeing how bad the game was and always will be, i'll have grandkids by the time this game leaves alpha

Stalked a guy in BP for more than 30 minutes. I saw him kill many and my only goal was to kill HIM. I was a fresh spawn so no guns, just an axe. When the oportunity came I rushed in. I hit him once but then he turned around. He emptied his magazine hitting me many times but not enough. I axed him again and he died. But the damage he had done was too great and I died just a second after. So basicly we killed each other. But I revenged atleast 6 people so I felt it as a great success! It was just a moment I will not forget.

***** Sure, while stalking. It's not easy to run behind a guy and at the same time tell the guys infront of him to run away. Oh, and also while not being seen... It's a survival game and everything can happen. You should try warning them if you play BP. That is the beauty with these games. Every day is different and every player plays different.

My first kill was somewhat the same. It was my first time in the game and I found an axe. I saw a guy in full military gear and rushed him \one shotting him. I couldn't loot him fast enough and his buddies got me before I could run away.

wow that ending makes me want to go watch through all the old dayz vids starting from the 1st. When i watch frankie play dayz it feels different, like a movie. sometimes its better then actually playing the game myself, its weird but amazing. Dayz is so much better now and MUCH more different. Not too much loot at military bases anymore encouraging people to explore other towns on the map making it much more likely to run into people AND Zombie A.I. is pretty decent now.

Quick tip Frankie, when holding the axe, make sure it isn't being held at the ready (vertically in front of you) because it will hit where the axe head goes (way to the right) not at the crosshair. If it is being held at an angle to the side (resting) it will hit the middle of the crosshair. You hold it at the ready and also return to rest position by hitting space.

Also, if your gun (or anything) is being held at the ready, when you switch to a different item and/or gun from your hotkey, it will force you to stop moving and take it out. While at rest, you can continue moving but you can't run.

For the ammo box: you should definitely take it, you can empty magazines and small ammo boxes and put all the ammo in the bigger box. Also, you need to empty the small cardbox box by right clicking it and then clicking "empty". That way you get the rounds in your inventory and load them in your gun after.

Only two things need to change about day Z to make it amazing, 1) if the general consensus of the online community was not to kill on sight but to create groups and gangs 2) More zombies on map that are harder to kill, leading to teamwork being a necessity

I've only killed 1 person so far in DayZ. I was in the fire station in Cherno protecting a little noob from a guy with a hatchet. He started insulting me and I put a few rounds in his head.... it was beautiful.

1440 has been around for a little while. A lot of different KZfaqrs have tried it out. But the 2160 4K is fairly new and is considered to be Ultra HD. You have to have a special TV/Monitor to actually get the full effect of it though. :D

Mackbros24 4k is 3840x2160. So it's good quality on a big screen! The normal hd as you know 1080p is only 1920x1080 pixels, which isn't a lot compared to the 4k :)

Strange you didn't hear of them yet. 480 HQ 720 HD 1080 Super HD 1440 Full HD 2160 Ultra HD The times are evolving and we're getting bigger resolutions. But funny thing is it's pointless since we don't have the monitors to play them nor games that support that kind of resolution. You'll need to wait few more months by few I mean 6-8 in order to get 4K monitors out there since as form now there are only few from Samsung I believe. Good thing about that is that the price for 1080 resolution monitors will drop and so will the GPU's meaning that we'll be able to buy good and strong GPU's at lowered prices. Which is great if you ask me since I do not need 4K screen as 1080 is big enough for me already, but since people want more let them have it. I'm good with both situations.

Navis Actually 1080p is full HD and 1440p is super HD.
